re-installing head after machine shop work and debating with friend about torque specs and whether or not it is a 2 step process (meaning for example torque to 50lbs, back it off and re-torque to 80 lbs) on a 1991 gsx with ARP studs. I found a website that recommended 80-85 lbs of torque on the bolts any suggestions ? :dsm: :thumb:

Use moly lube... torque to spec (78-85 usually) drive for two days lightly then check to see if they are in spec still. Then I would recheck it in about a month as well after the car has been through all heating/cooling processies...

Good luck:thumb:
