I just want to make sure that I am installing this correctly. I have the "electronic boost cylinoid" controller on the passenger side (the same one that I did the "free" mod on), the lines that go from that to the the turbo. Now that I have the Evo3 16g and there is no line on the compressor side what do I do with that line?

I have the wastegate line that goes to the boost controller(turbo xs duel stage), then that goes to the BOV? Then the BOV to...? If anyone has pics of there boost controller install that would be great.

Sort of confusing with how you worded it. There really is an aplethora of info on this subject with plenty of tutorials.

Basically your BOV needs a precise boost signal as does your boost controller. I always had a custom settup of ports from my intake manifold routed to FPR, BOV and wastegate. You can elimnate your BCS completely to make it easier and clear things up. Don't throw it away though...

If you need help i will bust out my microsoft paint skills and show you if you can't find any using search.

I think some microsoft paint skills would help. I am just curious because my turbo does not have a line coming off it. My boost controller instructions tell me to take one line from the pressure side of the turbo, then send it to the waste gate actuator. Is there something I am missing? Second part is on my new BOV, on of the lines from the turbo goes to the BOV right?

I could really just use a basic for dummies on how to hook up my BOV and boost controller, and am I supposed to keep the Boost Control Solenoid?

Thanks for any help

This is one way to hook it up. However as I said earlier I used everythign from my manifold (which IMO is the best source for all). You do not have to use it off of the compressor housing or even the J pipe (i know most aftermarket ones do not have nipples on them).

Make sure both of these get go to a good source and do not T anything else into those. Make sure the lines and T fittins are all in good shape and you will have a properly functioning wastegate and BOV.
Any other questions feel free to ask...

PS- BCS' suck ;) take it out and simplfy things.

what is a BCS? And neither my jpipe or turbo have the pressure nipple. So in that last diagram that you had, with the boost controller and BOV, take out the electronic one that came from the factory? Thanks guys for all the help, the build is almost complete. Not sure if anyone looked or not, but check out my gallery. Its been a work in progress sense October, and its almost complete. Having these last bit of issues with the BOV/Boost Controler, and MAF Translator tuning.

Thanks again

Sorry for the stupid questions, but its a long learning process. In the pic you show one vacuum hose coming off the BOV, mine has two. One off the top and one off the side. If the one comes off the BOV then where does the other come from? I have the wastegate to boost controller, and boost controller to BOV, can I just take the other vaccume line and send it to the intake manifold? If so which is the nipple that goes to the intake and which is the one that goes to the boost controller.

Also now that I have removed the BCS do I just leave it unplugged and hide the connector somewhere?

what about the BOV? Does anyone else have two nipples on their BOV? Is it ok if I hook it up intake manifold to side of the BOV, then top of BOV to boost controller and then to wastegate? does pressure come from both the wastegate and the intake or just the intake, or just the wastegate?
