ok i am about to purchase a new turbo. I was looking at the FP big 28, but the guy at the performance shop said it wouldnt hold up because it was to small being it was a stock housing. He says i should go with the hahn 20g which is 400 dollars more. my motor setup wont handle the hp that the 20g produces and im not planning on beefing the motor up so it seems worthless. also this is going to be a street car and i dont want the lag. can anybody help me decide. also keep in mind i dont have a whole lot of money to spend.

that is what the big 28 is.. is it straight. or will it tear up on me quick
it post out time slips just as fast if not faster than hahn's 20g

i would still go with the big 28 bro. crazy spool around 3200 rpm's and holds to redline. you dont really have to mod your car to run it either.
just make sure you have a boost controller and a boost guage tho.

i think the guy at the shop is talking out his ass.. factory turbo's last 100k+ miles and they run into shaft play.. not the case cracking.. and thats about the only similarity of a Big 28 is the case.. btw the power is definitely there..

i think that the 16g sounds like a great turbo. I just ordered one for my vehicle to upgrade it and it looks like a good deal. It has lots of power but not too much, just perfect for road performance and enough to enjoy. This is the best turbo that sounds good and you get what you pay for, you can get this for 400 without the housing, you can use the standard housing for this turbo and save yourself 250 dollars. You can buy this here, http://www.dsm-performance.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=38&products_id=105
Good luck on your upgrade.

they are out of stock. and no hp quotes. they sound to cheap. does anybody else know about extreme turbo's. im getting the fp big28.

I ordered Three 16G w/o the housings found some used turbine housing and sold them. DSM Performance takes off the turbine housings and uses them for their Mutt turbos. The turbos are brand new and have the original warrenty.
