All my mods are almost done, and its almost time to start the beast for the first time. Couple questions though. I have asked this a couple times and nobody has been able to answer it though. I am running a Apexi RACE blow off valve, it has a larger hole than the other BOV's, with my UICP the pipe coming off is quarter inch smaller. Can I make up that half inch with a flare? The Apexi BOV that I have is 2.75" and the DEJON UICP that I have only has a 2.5, should I cut that open flange off, reweld a new one that has the same diameter? Can you have a narrowing on the BOV passage like that?

Second bit of question. I know I need to run a synthetic oil, I drained my oil a couple months ago, can I add the new synthetic after the old oil, do I have to run it a brief time, then drain it and add again?

Same goes for the transmission fluid, can I combine the fluid that was left in there with a new synthetic?

drain the oil, put synthetic in.

drain the trans fluid, put synthetic in.

first of all, i cannot even comprehend a 2.75" bov. LOL, thats like just rediclous. the bov will be fine as you are going from 2.5 to 2.75, not the other way around. just put it on.

The opening for the flange on the BOV is a quarter inch bigger than the greddy type s, the first gen BOV, apexi twin chamber and such. So I am going to go from a larger hole to a smaller hole, is that going to be ok?
