Stock or Aftermarket?

Magnus Motorsports has a 2.4L 4G64 engine that can be transplanted into a 95, and there are several stroker kits available through various vendors.

However, the stock displacement is 1.997 Liters

The 3G (2000+) Eclipses have 3.0L 24V engines, this may be the point of confusion. Of course there are no 3G talons, and are those people that don't even consider the 3G's "true" DSM's.

3Gs are DSMs? I didn't know that. they probably feel so left out

My personal belief is that 3G's can't be comsidered DSM's, not because they lack turbo and AWD, but becaue DSM, Diamond Star Motors, the actual joint venture between Mitsu. & Cry.Co. ceased to exist circa 1998.

Eddie Belfour (Hockey Player) stuffed a 498ci Chrysler B1 motor into a 1g Talon. Does that count?

AWDriven.
