I recently had a insuficent braking problem and as a result ended up in the ditch/creek off the side of the road the other night. No apparent physical damage was incured, but after getting all the water out, the only thing that doesnt function properly is the tranny. I was down shifting very hard but didnt get into 1st. By that point it wouldnt have done any good. Although when the car came to a complete stop in the ditch I had her clutched and she was still running so I tried to let it out and of course being fwd in the mud she wasnt movin. When I did get her out though (thanks to a friend w/ a chevy dually one ton), it wouldnt shift properly anymore. It really has to be forced to go into any gear now. This makes me nervous cause I just replaced the last tranny cause the internal shift fork snapped in to third were she stayed. That one was doing the same but it only did it while going into third accompanied by the infamose grind like I didnt push the clutch in far enough (when she had no more clutch to push). It wasnt that i needed to bleed the clutch cause I did. I guess what my question is, is are the syncros to blame( aside from my lead foot disorder)? Are they that suseptible to physical shock? Thanks guys
