Your research is inaccurate you have a 1G car and a 1G manifold. You do not want a 2G manifold for any reason.

lots of people upgrade to the 2g manifold. why wouldn't want to upgrade to that?

I'm wondering if were getting intake and exhauts manifold confused. If he is refering to exhaust manifold then yes, intake manifold then no.

The 2G exhaust manifold bolts right on however I believe you have to nip one corner of the manifold for it to fit.

I have a completly custom exhaust that I made my self, full 3" from the turbo all the way back to the muffler. You can't take measurements from anybody else though because they are all a little different. You build it right on the car. So get the pieces bent and cut and weld them together until you have an exhaust system. Don't forget you need a turbo backing plate (or flange to the O2 housing if your using it) flex, res and muffler plus lots of flanges, hangers and gaskets to complete it all.

heh i was a little confused on which manifold, but i assumed exhaust judging on what was posted.

anyways, dsmjim hit the nail on the head. i also made my full 3" turbo back exhaust. it was about 200 dollars to do and i reccommend anyone to do this. if you just get in there and do it, youll see that you really dont need any measurements. like jim said, just build it on the car.

well my friend is going to build the exhaust because he is able to bend pipe and what not he knows how to do it but i am just curious for myself on how it would owrk and if anyone has a write up on it that would be great to
