Hey, i just installed a XBC and i had a couple questions, first off i have the stock 1g turbo and was running about 10psi readin it all with an autometer phantom boost gauge. I installed the controller, and the one thing i had to do out of the ordinary was on the hose that goes to the wastegate, the hose it came with was a little to big to fit on the tee so i cut a piece of hose from the stock one i took off and fit it into the one i got with the controller, then hooked it up to the wastegate line. Other than that it all went fine, i kept the controller open to get stock boost for now, and i went out for a drive. i was readin really low psi, very low, i pulled over turned it clockwise a bit and went back on the road, now i was reading like 5psi and thats what im at now. i didnt really notice a huge increase or decrease in power. I want to take it up to 15psi, but i was sorta afraid thinking there might be something wrong, so i just wanted to post on here to see what info i could get, any help would be really awesome.

I have the [email protected] right now and it's fine. it can lower or raise boost no problem turn it up a little back to 10 and see what happens

well i just went back out again and turned it up some more, its weird, it reads like about 9psi, sometimes, im gonna go back out tommorow. it seems like even when i turn it up more, it dosnt go past 10, im just confused right now....if anyone has any advice or input at all, please post it. id hate to blow up my engine because of lack of knowledge.

Just make sure the spring is not binding up in there.

He bought it from me. It worked great. I think he just needs to turn the knob somemore. He doesn't have many mods yet, so he is going to have to turn it more. He should be getting an exhaust soon and that should help out alot. Out of curiosity, what is stock boost for a 1g?

I think when i was fairly stock, I had to turn the knob atleast 3/4 of the way to get 14 to 15lbs of boost and that was with exhaust.

Make sure your boost gauge is accurate -- autometers have a bad reputation for reading off values.

Mine ran 1.74 bar w/o problems
