ok im looking for some feedback on this product. any one have one? what do you think of it? is it user friendly? if you dont have first hand experiance with this product dont reply.

In the field of boost controllers I like to think that there are two types.
The HIGH SCHOOL & The COLLEGE.

The HIGH SCHOOL are nothing fancy to look at have a limited amount of options as far as controlling you boost (like Greddy profec- B).
usually only a few knobs and you have to do a few runs to get the boost your looking for.

The College controllers have all the bells and whistles. (Apexi AVC-R)
you tell it what to do and it does exactly what you tell it two. Most have elaborate displays with tons of options. You really don’t have to do any runs. Just tell it 12psi with 10% and you get it.

I came from the RX-7 field where the AVC-R was big because of the twin turbo set up. The feel around here is that they like the more uncomplicated boost controllers. But if you are running high boost 20psi or more "I Think" a "college" boost controller is the better way to go.

I also found it strange that these two types of boost controller really did not have much of a price difference for what they offered. All of them around the $300 to 400 range

SO all that said THE E-01 is a Great controller and if you have the money it will be a good buy. Tons of options that you never thought you would need.

i've got it....it takes a bit of fiddling to get it set up right....use the manual mode ove the auto learn mode.....well worth the money IMHO....once you get it set, it works perfect, no complaints at all.....

sweet deal thank you both! absolutley the feed back i am looking for. i still cant find realy what options this EBC has what menus are there and all the neat bells and whistles? no REAL good info on the net. thanks again guys.

rpms, boost in kPa or PSI, overtake boost (higher PSI, or set PSI for up to 1.5 minutes), another feature where if you overboost or spike, it automatically lowers it to a preset level, interface for e-manage, full control over gain, and duty cycle- manual or automatic boost control....lots of useful stuff, but more cosmetic that anything....unless your getting e-manage as well, the Profec-B or B Spec II will do the job just as well.....

I have installed a few on cars before. The hardest part I found was finding a good place for that huge screen. You need to find a good place for it cause they just scream "please steal me" from just about anywhere in the car.

The Profec-B and other style boost controllers are much easier to hide and will do what you want them to. They don't have all the fancy controls but I found most people played with those setting the first week they had it and ended up with just leaving the settings as is and not using it for much more than what a Profec-B will do.

If you are really stuck on the features but don't want the big screen the new EVC 5 has a much smaller screen and would hide in the car better and not be quite so obvious. I have found the EVC 5 for $480 and EO-1 for $490 so they are compareable in price.

Just my 0.02 from previous experience...

I have one and quite like it (check my pics). I have been using the Auto-learn mode with no problems or boost spike. It is very easy to set up and like chase78 said, tons of options and some of it you may never use, but it is there if you want to play. The screen is an attention getter whether that is good or bad is up to you.

its seems that i could mount it flush were i have my cd deck and put my head unit in my glove compartment. im not exactly sure now if i need this or not. is it that much more easy to tune then a greddy profec b 2! i am realy big on multiple boost settings the more the better. i dont like to drive around on 25psi. well i wouldnt say i dont like it its just not practical.

thanks again guys i think i will be looking into something not soo fancy maybe the profec b 2 will hold me over.
