Current setup of my car below (in my sig). I'm thinking injectors are going to be my next mod. I'm torn between PTE 680CC injectors or the 650cc Fuel injector clinic injectors sold at extremepsi. The PTE injectors are 290 shipped on ebay. The FIC injectors are 315 shipped at extremepsi. I've been reading a TON about water/alky injection for our cars. Very good for reducing knock and timing advance. I could make my own kit for around 250 bux or buy an alcohol injection kit from SMC enterprises for 400 bux. As of now, my stock injectors are fine, but I know their 'hurting'. With the alky injection, it'll act as a knock reducer as well as a 'bigger' intercooler cooling the intake charge/combustion chamber. I'm assuming I'll be able to tune the knock count down with upgraded injectors...? Opinions?

If you are going to stay on that turbo (and run water/acl.) then why get anything larger than 550cc's?

I'm going to stick with the 16G for a bit, but within a year or so upgrade to either a 50 trim or 20G. 650's will do just fine with those turbo, not 550's.

DO NOT GET THE ONES ON EBAY. There is alot of talk about those guys selling those injectors on the galant forums. You pay and receive nothing. They were formerly darksideracing - and their reputation is not good. Get the FIC ones, you'll be happy.

I have to disagree, I just bought injectors off ebay, the pte's. and i got them pretty quick too. they work great even comes with a flow test chart

What PTE injectors did you get? I've heard the 680ccc injectors flow like 640... That's fine since it will still suport my goals, etc. 290 shipped for 680's is a great deal. And I'm sure darksideracing is not associated with these injectors.

Alcohol injection (SMC Enterprise kit) for 500 bux or Injectors and an AFC for around 425...

WHICH ONE? I want my knock gone:D

So I'm still torn between getting either soley water/alky injection or going with upgraded injectors and an AFC. I have a chance now to buy 650cc injectors for 250 bux. I'm sure I can get an AFC for around 165 bux. This will put me at just over 400 bux for these parts. Now I can buy a water injection kit from www.h2oinjection.com for 219 bux. They said it's a spearco based kit--all spearco parts. Or I can go ahead and buy a kit that's proven and worth the cost IMO at www.smcenterprises.com for 400 bux. I'll opt to buy the variable boost control option for an additional 100 bux putting me at 500 for the sale. Many guys have told me that I'd be fine with water/alky injection and stock injectors. I just don't want my injectors to suddenly fail. They have 127,000 miles on them:) Please give me your opinion. I do have the Translator to roughly tune with. And if I buy injectors, I'll have the ECU injector compensation from Jeff at www.dsmchips.com

I would go with the injectors for now. This will help you get the most out of your setup while avoiding fuel cut.

Add the WI later to help control knock at higher boost levels (19+) on pump gas. Really if you wanted to, you could get water injection going for about $120 for a REALLY basic system (or even ~$50 for a ghetto setup like mine), but you should plan on more like $250-$300 for a decent setup.

I just think at this point, you will be more satisfied with injectors.
