Grand Bayou Race Series Round #6

Posted 03-09-2009 at 09:53 AM by tsiboosted

Preperation - Before we headed off to Louisiana for Round #6 of the Grand Bayou Race Series. I had to get some new parts put on the car and get the alignment checked out and set. We installed the Ingalls adjustable camber kits front and rear and a Hallman Pro MBC. When I took the car to get the alignment checked and set, I got a huge eye opener. The camber and toe was so far off, I am suprised...

Posted 02-12-2009 at 06:55 AM by tsiboosted

Yesterday I got some really good news for the 2009 - 2010 racing season. K&N Engineering has come on board as a full time sponsor for the season. This company by far in my mind makes the best filters on the market. I will be using the Racing Air Filters, Wrench Off Oil Filters, Breather Filters and all cleaning kits for all of my filters.

I would like to thank K&N Engineering...

Updated 02-16-2009 at 03:23 PM by tsiboosted

Saturday - Well this is the first event I have been able to run in so far in 2009 due to blowing the transmission out in Round #2 of the series. The new TRE Stage 3 tranny is all bolted in and ready to go. Today's practice was really going to be a lighter one. Just trying to get a feel for the new tranny and not roast the only set of tires I have for the car right now. The weather was absolutely...

Saturday - Practice began Saturday morning and I could not wait to get out on the track and test out the new Ground Control Coilovers we put on during the week leading up to the event. I went with 650 lbs springs in the front and 350 lbs springs in the rear. Last event the car pushed liked a dump truck on rails in the turns. It was not fun to drive at all So 1st session we get out onto...

Grand Bayou Race Series Round #1

Posted 10-06-2008 at 08:54 AM by tsiboosted

Well, the 2008 - 2009 Grand Bayou Race Series got underway this past weekend (October 4th - 5th). It has been a while since I have been to No Problem Raceway as the #32 Eagle Talon TSi has been down getting allot of new goodies under the hood for this season. I was really looking forward to seeing how the new engine setup was going to work at this track. We tested the car at Road Atlanta in August...

Getting Ready for the 2008 - 2009 Season

Posted 09-26-2008 at 08:52 AM by tsiboosted

Well, its only 8 days until the 2008 - 2009 Grand Bayou Race Series will kick off again. 8 days to make sure the #32 Eagle Talon TSi is once again ready to do battle in the Sports Touring class. Last season was a very successful season for me in my rookie year. We took 5 podium finishes including four 2nd places, one third place and a win in the last race of the year. I finished 2nd overall in...

Road Atlanta Testing Days

Posted 08-22-2008 at 08:27 AM by tsiboosted

Well, over the past weekend we headed up to Road Atlanta for a PCA Event/Testing Session. I was very excited about this as the new engine is fresh in the car and there is almsot no better track in North America better than Road Atlanta (IMHO). The last time I was at this track I had the T-25 setup and it just lacked the power to keep up with the Turbo 911's, BMWS etc. So I was very anxious to see...

Well now that the Grand Bayou Race Series is over and I have had a month to get my "regular" life back in order. Its time to start thinking and ordering more upgrades for next season. A sceond place overall finish in my rookie season was a good start for me. Now its time to add some new goodies under the hood. Here is the current path the race car is taking.

Grand Bayou Race Series Round #6 (Final Race)

Posted 03-10-2008 at 10:24 AM by tsiboosted
Updated 03-10-2008 at 03:25 PM by tsiboosted

Well this is the final round of the 2007 - 2008 Grand Bayou Race Series. It just seems like a few weeks ago it was round one here in my rookie year and now it is coming to a close. A lot has transpired so far this season, some good, some bad. But the overall series was a GREAT experience for me. I have learned so much about racing, my car and my abilities as a driver. But enough of this, let’s...

I would like to take a minute to welcome and thank my newest sponsor that has come on board for the 2008 - 2009 season. And hopefully longer....Red Line Oil. I am sure everyone is familiar with this company for putting out the best oil, grease, lubricants and engine additives in the business.

Grand Bayou Race Series Round #5

Posted 02-04-2008 at 12:00 PM by tsiboosted

Round #5 of the Grand Bayou Race Series did not start off on the best of notes. On my way over to Louisiana, I was coming through New Orleans and my car hauler had some MAJOR issues. All 4 bolts that hold the pivot ball onto the truck on the driver’s side front apparently had come off somewhere and now had me all over the road heading through the crescent city. Luckily for me I felt it before it...

Grand Bayou Race Series Round #4

Posted 01-07-2008 at 09:19 AM by tsiboosted

Well we are now to round #4 of 6 in the Grand Bayou Race Series. As of last round, I am sitting 2nd overall in points in my class. So here we go into Round #4.

Practice - The day before we had a test and tune practice day which I focused primarily on 2 sections of the track. My Avon Tech R tires are starting to show a lot of wear so I did not want to push them that hard at practice,...

Grand Bayou Race Series Round #3

Posted 12-03-2007 at 02:05 PM by tsiboosted
Updated 12-05-2007 at 11:36 AM by tsiboosted

Well we are now at the half way point of the Grand Bayou Race Series and I have to say, I am pretty excited to be tied for 2nd overall in my class here in my rookie year of the series. I am staying pretty consistent throughout so far with 3 second place finishes in a row. I am still looking for that first Feature race win, but I am on my way and the car and driver are just getting better as the...

I Just want to take a moment to thank my sponsors

Updated 01-18-2008 at 11:44 AM by tsiboosted

Hello all. I just wanted to take a moment and thank all my sponsors for supporting me in this racing venture. Martin Ruiz and the entire crew at VIP Garage in Virginia. They have been unbelievable at getting me the parts I need for my brakes when I need them. Without them and their fast service, a lot of times, I would not have been able to compete. They keep me in the hunt.

Posted 11-21-2007 at 04:41 PM by tsiboosted

Well after getting the new Brembo rotors and Hawk HP+ pads on we were ready to head out Saturday morning towards Louisiana and round #2 of the Grand Bayou Race Series. Checked the weather report before we left to see if we needed to bring the rain tires. Everything looked good to go with no chance of rain all weekend. We got on the road around 10:30 or so and headed down the freeway west bound for...

Hello fellow DSMers. I am Eddie Garrison and I live down here in Pensacola Florida.
