Is it possible to burn a tcu chip to shift at a higher than 6500rpm?

The car is a 1g awd a/t. I would like to have the trans shift at 7000k instead of the 6500 in the power setting. I may want to eventually change it higher with future mods. I am aware of the ipt shift box but not interested. I cant find any good recent writeups on the manumatic wiring mod or the box they used to sell on ebay. But can u burn an eprom for it. I see they have a tcu file in the yahoo ecu group. thanx for your replies

I build a 2 button shifter if you are interested. I am waiting on my Supporting Vendor status to be given so I can't post a price yet, but you can PM me and i will let you know. It is almost 5 times cheaper than IPT's 4 button.

Use the forums for tech questions, not the blogs.
