my 7 bolt is done!
Posted 06-01-2008 at 07:51 PM by TalonTsi31
so my 7 bolt blew up and the whole motor is f'd. so now i am at the point of deciding to pull out a loan and rebuild a 6 bolt then drop that in. or buy a low milage 6 bolt and drop that in then as i get the money rebuild a 6 bolt and swap it in, in a year or so.
i dont know what i want to do yet. but either waay i am real pissed. there is a piece of metal sticking out of my oil pan and i left like a 100ft trail of 5 quarts of oil on i-71.
and all of this was on my way to Hot Import Nights!!!!!

Dang man, that really sucks. Need any help, let me know. You could always try the junkyard and drop that in till you get the money to rebuild a new one.

ya i threw a rod but it sounds way more dsm to say crank walk. but sorry it is a rod. anyway the motor is screwed and i am probably going to buy 2 6 bolts one to put in and one to rebuild when i get the money. im going to do it myself. thanks guys and if i need anything ill let you know ryan. thanks for the offer. as far as the motor it is a thrown rod and the motor was suposidily rebuilt with stock internals 9,000 miles ago or so but umm cough cough that was a lie. |

I dont see how a loan is such a bad idea, If it would take 3 months to get 3k to build an engine but to get the money right away and to have the motor done and then to easily be able to pay off the loan within 6 months you wont be paying anywhere near half the intrest that the bank had thought you were going to pay

wow man that sux at least you get a chance to build it up now.
!Loan FTW thats what i did i just refinanced on the loan i had out for the car. I thought about a credit card but the interest rates were incomparable, it all worked out good just taking an xtra year to pay it off! Good luck with what ever you do ! |
