So, after picking up the red '90 Laser project shell, I hit a slight delay that ended up changing my plans for the build. My good friend Tort decided to part out his 700+whp Talon, and I offered to help him in my garage. This meant I had to put the FWD on hold. We got his car torn down, and his original intent was to hold onto the shell in case he ever decided to do another build later.

Ok, so where were we, ahh yes, bolt on party...
But before I do that I need to do everything I can to squeeze out every ounce of power this little 14b can make..
I planned to install the E3 parts straight up because my compressor was at the families house since they were using it for something and I was being impatient.
I still had my Dremel and some good...

Unless you guys frequented the GVR4 boards or the 14b Discussion thread, many simply figured I kicked the Talon to the curb to pursue another platform, but alas I got my hands on a 91 GVR4 1302/2000 Beliz green in fairly good condition. I know for many DSMers, a GVR4 aka EVO 0 is a "dream" car for a lack of another word and I couldn't pass up this deal!

After finishing my engine swap, my goal was to have my car ready to race by the Texas Mitsubishi Shootout at the San Antonio Raceway. This gave me about 45 days from the time I first started the new engine. I had to break my block in (1,000 miles) and iron out all the wrinkles (so to speak) so that I could make some reliable passes at the shootout.

About a year after my failed engine swap I got a new job and moved 2,000 miles away from my hometown. Priorities in my life changed and I forgot all about that turbo engine that was sitting on that stand back in my parent's garage. About a year ago I even put my car up for sale. Then something changed. I started fixing little problems and spending more and more time with my car. I got active on dsmtuners...
