Well I am new to the website as well as DSMs and have very little knowledge about cars let alone DSMs so I will need as much help and imput as possible. I bought a 90 eagle talon tsi awd with the big 16g turbo and a new motor and trans. The motor and trans came from a 92 talon with 70k on it so the motor is still prime. The engine works great but the trans is bad. The week after i got it some gear went bad; i know which one but can't remember the name. Then because of that i could not shift into first therefore with the added wear and tear on the trans the fork broke i think and shifting is not to good. I will let off the clutch slowly and nothing will happen until i let completly off and it will come out all at once but my rpms have to be very low for it to catch at all. I drove it home after this happened and parked. the only time i took off it almost stalled because of the low rpms. the other shifts are actually fine if you ease out and give it NO gas at all . I am either doing a trans rebuild or i am buying a new one. The problem is always the same $$$$. I had to take a loan out for the car. I spend all my spare money on it and some i ain't supposed to lol, but I have a guy looking at it in a few days; he does trans. If the price is high i will buy a trans rebuild kit and dig in myself and hope i dont screw anything up!!!!
