Blog Title: FWD 14b project
In the beginning, there was Christine. I bought her from a friend that had left the car sitting in a field for years. It cost $300. Within a few hours, we had the car running again (entire turbo inlet pipe had a mouse nest in it). Then we started with the cheap/free mods.

With just an MBC, K&N, o2 dump, and upper/lower IC pipes, the car ran a best of 13.6 @ 108, killing the stock clutch in the process. Then we picked up a used B16G, FMIC, 550s, pump, clutch, 264s, and AFC, and fabbed a full 3" exhaust. This got us to a best of 371whp and 13.1 @ 111.

Fast forward a few years, I bought back my '93 Talon that I had previously sold to buy a house. I decided to go back to a stock appearing setup and see what it could do. With a 14b, Dejon SMIC, HKS 272s, 255/550s, hacked 1G MAF, 5 knob AFC, full 2.5", 2600, and little else I ran a best of 12.12 @ 112.1 on VP 103 unleaded. In '07 the car was totaled.

Skip ahead a couple more years, and I decided to give the 14b another go with a FWD setup this time.

Figured it's time for another update even though things have been kinda on standby for the winter. The car is up and running, drove it around a couple times to make sure all the bolts are tight and nothing leaks. Still need to register and add insurance before I can really drive it. Atco re-opens in about a month so I'm going to start buttoning up the loose ends soon.

The exhaust still needs to be finished, it's currently running an open DP. I'm going to do a short route side exit in front of the pass. side rear wheel. I've still got a '90 trans in the car, but I picked up a '91 trans in better shape that I'm going to throw the LSD in. Hopefully I get around to doing that before the track opens. Otherwise it's pretty much ready to go, just needs a little tuning.

Stay tuned, hopefully the next update has dyno sheets and timeslips!

Finally! Got my VC back from JNZ Finishing. Pics don't remotely do this color justice, it's a flat purple, came out really cool.

Here's how it's currently sitting.

With my EVO and my friend's mint 49k original '94.
