Blog Title: Slippi84
Ever since we started blogging stuff now everyone blogs everything. I can understand you have a build or persoanl experience where your not asking any questions but you have blogs like just got this need help picked up this part how do I put it on or how does this work. That is thread starer stuff not blogs. Exactly why I never was a fan of blogs is happening. We're blogging everything.

Sad day but you gotta do what you gotta do....

Posted 05-20-2011 at 09:51 AM by Slippi84

Well my dd trailblazer SS hydro-locked and will need a new engine and I just don't have the money to squeeze that into everything else so the day I said and hoped would never come is here...I have to part out the talon. I was back and forth the past couple of months but always talked myself out of it even though I knew that it made more sense to go a different direction as my situation is just different...

Wake up call!!!

Posted 03-16-2011 at 12:25 PM by Slippi84

Ok I know I have been dormant for a while cause I've been ####ing with my Trailblazer SS. Well the tool bags on TBSSOwners.com have single handedly made me lose interest in even messing with the Trailblazer that much. I wrote a how to on how to wire electric fans in without buying this over prices kit from a vendor that everyone there nut swings off of and def got banned because the company owner...

Project 9's No Compromise update

Posted 12-25-2010 at 01:56 AM by Slippi84

Merry XMAS to all my dsm friends. Some people on the link forums thought I sold my talon or gave up on the build, neither is true. I picked up a 06 trailblazer ss that I just got done modding to the point im satisfied now considering its just my dd. Anyway my new years resolution is to switch gears back to the talon andfinally finish it.

Its the holidays so I wont bring up any neggativity...

Project 9's NO Compromosie Build Update!!!

Posted 09-27-2010 at 04:53 PM by Slippi84

Second job started up and car money is back so this month I should be picking up a lot of the things that have been holding up big progress since the motor has been in. For all the haters on the front bumper I"m getting rid of it and going with just a regular stock unit with maybe just holes for air in the front. Not because I didn't like the front but because I"m not going side exit exhaust...

Well good news and bad. Good news is I got some of the wiring straight and got my true 5" intake ready to rock with real K&N filter, bad news is the car is still not ready and won't be for OHIO . I know I suck at life and sorry to all the guys out there for not bringing it this year but as long as hell doesn't freeze over it will be there RUNNING next year. To the guys going to...

Project 9's No compromise update!!

Posted 07-06-2010 at 08:03 PM by Slippi84

I wanted to see how the exhaust and compressor housing clearance was so I bolted the turbo setup up and with the assistance of the gf since the L19s went MIA took some pics to see if anything wasn't gonna fly. I figured it would be good since it was on Brents car but you never know. Def loving the way this is coming together.

New turbo setup is complete thanks to the good deal from Brent at JMF(Thanks Brent and Jim). All I have to do now is figure out the exhaust and get a custom fender mounted 5" intake fabbed up and I'm good to go.

The day has finally come!!!!! Picked up this Laptop holder off of Brent from JMF off his old car(Thanks Brent!) yesterday thought I would throw up some pics. It was all silver which was cool but it didn't match my interior so I painted it black. It came out real good I think. I"m gonna have to start calling this the Frankenstein build with all these parts from so many fast DSMs lol. This upcoming week the engine will be...

I went to pick up the torque plate and ship it back to Joe Pettit, big thanks Joe your the man, and took some pics of the stuff as it is just about done. Very long process when your doing it all right from the ground up but imperative if you want a engine that will last. The block has been bored .020 over and decked, the crank balanced and micro-polished, the wrist pin opening on the R&R rods...

Just a quick update I got my Rota D2s in today they look badass. I took the SSR decals off and put them away just waiting for the QTPs to throw them on but I know it will look sick. Also I don't know if I ever posted pictures of the engine setup before I took it to the machine shop so here it goes. By the way HUGEEE thanks to Ramel Pratt for letting me borrow his torque plate. Great example of a dsmer....

I ditched the BC288s and the Crower spring setup as I"m going with K280s from Delta and Kiggly springs and retainers FTW!!! I picked up a EuroExport tool for the springs which worked great. Next week I order the new stuff to get this head loaded back up with the goods. I'm pretty souped though because my QM flywheel is on the way from MAPerformance so I can get everything machined and balanced...

Got the rest of my fuel setup in so now I can switch back to the engine bay. At this point my focus is to get my hands on a twin disk so the engine can go in and then it's home stretch. It's getting close to nice weather too. At this point I know everything except Trans/transfercase will be 100% done before the shootout but I don't know if I will be able to spring $4k by then We'll see what happens....

Finally got some nice weather around here(even mr softy came by ) so I got the lines for the fuel system run and my fuel pump mounted along with my radiator. Still waiting for my fuel filters and aboviously the engines not in the car so I don't know how long to cut the fpr to rail and filter to rail lines but looks like it will come out pretty good.

Got my Radiator setup all together. All I need now is a 12" pusher slim fan and I'll throw her in the car. I got my wheels setup and painted. I know people were saying I could have got lighter wheels but I don't know I just have always loved the 2g gst wheels and after seeing them on the car with the QTPS that I want from the previous owner I was set on getting them.

Ok well I get a lot of questions about this all the time wether it be via PM or comments on the journal so I thought I would post up some info and some pictures so people would know more about it.

ITB SMIM(Individual throttle boddy ; sheet metal intake manifold).

First off let me start by saying I did not come up with this or make it. It was created by Jake H.(topstreet)...

Just got in my Fiveomotorsport 2000cc Denso injectors. They fit perfect after boltin down the rail. I picked up the set from Fiveo off ebay for 480 shipped which included the electronic adapters from EV6 to Bosch style which we use stock so the stock harness will plug right into them. There is a lot of trash talk about these Injectors and Bruce from Fiveo from Tony @ T1 but I can tell you these are...

I got my fuel cell back from JMF yesterday. They anodized it black for me to hold up against E85 which is all this car will see and welded on a bracket for my external pump(still in the air between the magnafuel 4303 and the fuel lab 4202-1). I also decideed that I'm gonna go with the FIC high impediance 2150cc injectors they have out now. They are similar to the ID2000's but cheaper.
