Blog Title: EZ Bake Eclipse Build, Part I --intro...
This is the build of my 97 eclipse GSX, nick named "EZ Bake" by my old roommate after he was stuck in the back seat on a sunny day in norcal

I bought this car about 4 years ago when my RX7 got totaled by a truck in the Infineon Raceway parking lot and working in motorsports its not always easy to come home and work on a car for fun. So this has taken way longer than I ever planned.

I needed a car so I bought something that I could modify and make into a fun car. Found this car in oregon and it was kinda f'd up. #2 cyl was leaking pretty bad, front bumper was messed up.. paid to much for it. But such is life. Over the last 3 years or so I have modified things here and there. Pictures are more frequent tward the latter parts of the build because I never expected it to go this far lol. Current goal is One Lap of America since I have so damn much money into this and no real racing class to run it in.

EZ Bake Mostly stock in the beginning

Fast forward to the colorado move, two weeks after I got there...

Blew up the stock motor so it was time to hurry up and assemble the engine I had been stock piling parts for. Eagle Rods

Project EZ bake part 6, More goodies on the way

Posted 03-09-2011 at 04:08 PM by rx7ttlm (EZ Bake Eclipse Build, Part I --intro...)

So I haven't done much to her in a couple months because of weather and dealing with the ARC2 people. I ended up getting my money back because the people I was dealing with had no idea what they were doing. I made a deal with Nate at MA Performance and he got me a new arc2 without having to deal with the factory. (see previous journal for details about the arc2 which was shorted out NIB)

Well the latest on project EZ Bake,

I was going to drop the new turbo intercooler etc in this weekend and have English Racing stitch me a downpipe to match my V-band O2 housing. Well, the 1g that I got to replace EZ Bake as DD status decided she wanted to shit an alternator. On top of that when I got her up on the flatbed I noticed a pretty severe oil leak coming from the timing belt...

FP DSM76 and ETS race front mount

Posted 04-29-2010 at 09:54 PM by rx7ttlm (EZ Bake Eclipse Build, Part I --intro...)

so I got a picture of the turbo and intercooler with my phone.. I have been itching to install these bad boys for a couple months. Since I don't have a tig welder available to me I am going to have a local shop zap me a downpipe for the Vband 3 inch o2 housing .checking I will spend tomorrow doing some prep work like wiring my fuel map switch (one map for e85 and one for pump 92 octane) and oil...
