Blog Title: EZ Bake Eclipse Build, Part I --intro...
This is the build of my 97 eclipse GSX, nick named "EZ Bake" by my old roommate after he was stuck in the back seat on a sunny day in norcal
I bought this car about 4 years ago when my RX7 got totaled by a truck in the Infineon Raceway parking lot
and working in motorsports its not always easy to come home and work on a car for fun. So this has taken way longer than I ever planned.
I needed a car so I bought something that I could modify and make into a fun car. Found this car in oregon and it was kinda f'd up. #2 cyl was leaking pretty bad, front bumper was messed up.. paid to much for it. But such is life. Over the last 3 years or so I have modified things here and there. Pictures are more frequent tward the latter parts of the build because I never expected it to go this far lol. Current goal is One Lap of America since I have so damn much money into this and no real racing class to run it in.
EZ Bake Mostly stock in the beginning

Fast forward to the colorado move, two weeks after I got there...

Blew up the stock motor so it was time to hurry up and assemble the engine I had been stock piling parts for. Eagle Rods

Wiesco's once installed with MLS came out to 8.8:1

Mocking up 100mm Eagle crank in the block
