Alright. So when my 1991 Tsi kept taking dumps on me, and everything started falling apart and breaking, I decided it was time to start with a whole new car. A car that did not come from Canada and one that had little to no rust and a decent body.

January rolled around and I finally found a rolling chassis, and I drove from Bowling Green, Kentucky to Indianapolis, Indiana to look/pick up the gsx.

When I got the GSX back to my house I was kind of cocky and said it was only going to take a few weeks, but I forgot about work and school that would hinder me from that, and also the weird Kentucky weather where it will be 10 degrees or where it will be 80 degrees (all in the same day).

Almost five months later the entire body swap is almost complete. Here are pictures from the process.

Here is the rust bucket from Canada. It is a gorgeous car, just its rusted to death.

This is what the eclipse looked like at first.

The car was full of parts, I guess the previous owner had big dreams.

After all the parts were pulled out and the car was hosed down and went to town with Purple Power getting the interior prepped for paint.

So I decided only interior I will have in the car, will be door panels, dash, and seats. No carpet no other interior panels. I sprayed the entire inside of the car black, and the floor board and most of the hatch is all truck bed lined.

Next I took all the sub carriage and all the suspension off.

I finally put the talon up in the air as well and dropped its suspension. I decided to compare which suspension components and sub carriage had little to no rust and which ones looked the best. I took the ones that looked the best and pieced it back together.

All the suspension has been sanded down rust has been grinded down, and it was rustoleomed, and spray painted to protect it from doing it again.

Here is the cleaned up engine bay. Also rustoleomed and painted.

All the rear suspension is up, and the 8 gallon fuel cell mounted.

Currently my list of things that need done.
Brake lines
Power steering cooler
Oil cooler
Install motor mounts
Finish fuel lines
Set the motor
Run intercooler piping
Mount FMIC
Radiator install

But I am looking to have this beast out and off the jacks within a few weeks.
