For those of you who didn't catch my last blog entry, I've been building, my 1993 1g n/a 4g63, on a budget of $0. Well, here we are again another mod for the cost of practically nothing. My friend needed some help pulling a head for his corolla at a junk yard and for helping i got what was left over from a CX Racing Inter-cooler piping kit. So i decided to make a cold air intake.
The plan was simple and install went pretty smoothly. as you can see from the pictures below i routed the piping so the filter/mas air flow now sits right behind the fog light. this utilizes the plastic ducting already there. to protect the mass, and prevent water from getting sucked up, i cut the filter housing (you know that big can that sits over the filter) so only the side facing the bumper was open. the final modification was simply turning the battery to allow proper fitment since the left over kit did not have a 90* silicon fitting. It came out a lot better than i expected. and so another mod down. total coast 2 hours and 0 Dollars
