I love my evo III...

well i had to install it about 5 times to get it right and that was a pain, but on the brightside i can uninstall and install a turbo in my car in about 2 and a half hours now. but now that i have everything on my car i went to go to the dyno and get it tuned and well after about 6 pulls and the boost just sitting at 18 psi no matter where i turn the boost controller, we thought the wastegate line...

Well, I just got the car road worhty again. That was after replacing the trans ( Jack's Value stage rebuild) the transfer case ( Jack's rebuild) the front axles ( DSS upgraded) wheel bearings ( both). The car shifts smoothly and I won't really have any opinions on the trans until I can really drive the car....which will be a while.

As I was driving the car back, it threw the CEL....

DSM Going to the Scrap Yard

You know you have issues when your front yard looks like this (There are two more 2g's inside the shop not pictured). We cleaned out some of the DSM parts we've been hording for years. The black '90 ended up weighing 3000 pounds when we dropped it off at the scrap yard!

Obsession

I can tell I'm getting dangerously obsessed with anything that has to do with 4g63, turbos, DSMs, Eclipse, Talon, Laser, Evo, Galant VR4. Although I have been modding my car just like everyone else, I do not feel I have this itch fulfilled. It's a call of yearning. So this is what I did.

I bought a 6 bolt bare block with no crank along with a 1G head. As if I wasn't losing money as...

Started Sanding on my 1995 Eagle Talon Project

Ok, we didn't get very far, but at least we started! We decided to get it painted before dropping the motor (which we picked up from the machine shop last Saturday) in.

The short block is a 6 bolt running 2g Nippon Racing pistons on 1g rods, ARP rod bolts and ARP main studs. Our machinist was pretty impressed with the Nippon pistons. He said they look like good quality, especially for...
