Wow I feel so special I now have my own blog...
Well here goes
Quite sometime ago like Feb 20th 2008 I bought a 1993 AWD Eagle Talon for about 1000 bucks in the hopes that I could make a nice fune to drive car that I could use for work and get really great gas milleage with. After all I get reimbursed for miles driven so the lower the operating cost the more money in my pocket. I searched for quite sometime to find a non pop up DSM with no sun roof and no ABS but equipped with cruise control. After 4-5 months of looking I finally happened upon an ad on craigslist here in denver. The ad said it drove but would probably need a tow since the alternator was not working properly. So in true DSM'er fashion we tried to drive it home and it ended up on the tow rope behind my dads duramax. One thing I did notice when I was driving it was the car wouldn't rev past about 2k and 2nd gear would grind like a mofo, no big deal needs a tranny what DSM doesnt? I got it home and pulled the plugs and wires and the all the spark plugs were missing the little metal cap at the top of the plug so the wires werent even making contact with the plugs, so I threw in some new plugs and wires and headed to work to get the 2 flat tires fixed. Ahh but that would be to easy right steal a nice DSM and get away with a simple altenator swap, and some plugs and wires? No not so fast when the guys at work tried to remove the rear wheels it was brought to my attention that 1 stud on each side was stripped and was turning in the hub. I took it home and that is where it sat until July.
