Blog Title: Time Attack Build Blog :: 1997 Eclipse GST Spyder :: Andrew Brilliant
The saga of a demon. Striving to create the fastest street driven FF (front wheel drive) car in the US, we constructed a fire breathing monster out of my 1997 Eclipse GS-T Spyder.

This is the same car that blazed across the salt flats in land speed trim during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

I did a write up about the dual element I designed for APR a little while back. It is slated to be produced pretty soon. I thought it might be of interest.

The prototype of this will be going on my car for physical testing.

Thanks for sharing this, Drew! Glad to see your hard work is being produced. I've been wondering what has come of this.

Keep us updated with the real world testing on your car!

Nice I look forward to seeing it on your car. Are you going to mount it to the chassis structure? Not sure if your current wing is?

We are trying to move the aero balance toward the rear now! We had the rear wing maxed out since willow springs 2009!

Very interesting. Are the end plates really just a flat rectangular plate?

Do you think the swan neck mounts I've seen on cars are going make the transition over to production wing? Do they work as well as I have read or just hype?

On wing mount I've been really looking at the back of my car and I have a few ideas I'm going to play around with. I really like how the wing is mounted on the Honda HSV-010 race car. I assume the further off the back the mounts are the better. Is that a correct assumption?
