Blog Title: My DSM cronical
Well I thought this would be cool to start as a daily record of what is going on with my car. I was'nt really sure about it until I had other members start asking me about mods I had previously done and realized you can't understand the future without first learning about the past.

I work on it just about everyday and have been really altering it to the point where it is no longer a daily driver anymore and just a "money pit" as my wife calls it. If she only knew..... My goal is a somewhat stock appearing/but you know its faster than stock look. I'm not fanatacial about this as you can tell by the 19" rims. I really don't care if there to heavy, I just like the way they look on the car.I just want a fun car that looks good and can scare the shit out of my neihbor with the Z06 vette.

I do almost all of my own fabrication work within reason just out of a sense of pride by doing it myself. So far I have tought myself how to do TIG/MIG welding on a novice scale and limit myself to parts that if they break will not cause my death or total destruction of the car. I also learned how to do Composite work on a novice scale also and plan on doing alot more. I've come to really enjoy making, and designing pieces for the car now.

So I would like to start out as to the current state of the car and go from there. I've gotten to the point were I don't like to leave anything the way it was designed to be and come up with these crazy ideas for parts while I dream at night about rainbows and teddy bears.

Crap gotta get ready for work finish this tonight.

Well today I had a little setback the fiberglass that I used on the inside of the nose started to seperate from the ABS. I had to really cut the ABS up for the FG to have something to grab onto, not really sure if this is going to work. I used FG hair this time and spread it out more. After that I wet sanded the nose with 2000 grit and layed on 4 coats of clear. It looks really good and hopefully tomarrow I will put it back on the car. I have off Tues. and wens. so I can finish up. While I was waiting for it to dry I took the car for a spin down the road with no front nose which was really getto looking but did'nt care I just wanted to remember what it felt like.

i was thinking about shaving/deleting the oval bumper lights. my bumper is abs too. i think drilling small holes for the fiberglass to seep in and grab onto would work. i think cutting up a some frayed up FG to bond the rest of the cloth to the area with the holes a little. Post updates to see if it holds up with out cracking with vibration and road debris.

Thanks, I was thinking that after I painted it. If if starts to crack thats what I have to do. I spread out the fiberhair over a good part of the inside and it made it very rigid so we'll see if it holds.
