It was such an incredibly nice day today

I decided to get down and dirty. There were several things I wanted to accomplish, mostly appearance wise. I cleaned the interior. Got a bit carried away and rip out the trunk interior. Relocated my AVCR, found my TCU and ECU, emptied the PCV catch can, and just basically fooled around.

It really is. I'm not even joking. There are several 2gs in the parking lot as I speak, including my own. There's a red 2ga Eclipse GS, red 2gb Eclipse GS, and a black Spyder I occassionally see from time to time. There's even a 1g Eclipse in the faculty parking lot. But today...today topped it off. Suprisingly, the hard parts became the easy parts, and the easy parts became the hard parts in this installation.

I have heard the stories about exhaust manifolds. I'm sure you have too. Broken studs, stripped bolts, frozen, stuck, etc etc. From the last occurences with the O2 sensor, and the oil pan plug, I knew this would hell.

I've been meaning to change the oil in my DSM for a while now. I already went past the 3k mile point. But gf kept me busy on the weekends and weekdays I have school. Being the first oil change of my life, I wanted to have at least a full day to do it so in case if anything goes wrong, I could diagnose and still have time to fix. Stupid Oxygen Sensor

For weeks, I've been getting bad mileage due to my front oxygen sensor being lazy. It was damaged from the coolant leaking into the exhaust. I ordered a new one and it came in. I knew I was in for a match of the century since they're notorious for being frozen. Several blasts of WD-40 and too sore muscles later, I retreated to the site looking for help. PB Blaster was key as well as a flame torch....
