So I got raped by a rock today...

I was driving along in the early morning going to school entering the BQExpressway. I'm underneath the bridge right and there's another car in front of me. I couldn't see the road where I have to turn. As soon as I turned, I saw this big chunk of gray.

It's around 7:45 in the morning so my mind is a bit slow. Just as I run over it, I registered what it was and I was like ####! The thing is huge. Probaly the size of a small soccor ball. Of course I ran over it and it gets sucked beneath the bumper and all I hear is rocks hitting the bottom.

I checked my gauges and keep looking in the rear mirror for any signs of liquids. It was to the right of my car so I was thinking it might have put a nice hole into my transfer case. Driving it along, everything seemed ok. Oil pressure was good, coolant was good, transmission shifting alright.

When I got to school, I looked underneath the car and the bumper thinking it might have split. No noticeable damage and from what I could tell, no leakage of anything. I'll jack her up later this weekend at home and give it a closer inspection. #### rocks and shit.

I feel ya.. I was driving through a new developing neighborhood one night with very nice pavement and curvy roads I might add.

Anyways, I was hitting a pretty wicket wind at about 70, had my high beams and fogs on but it wasn't enough to see the the huge rock in the road. Yes I know its mainly my fault but it's all good. Anyways my left front wheel hit it real hard and put a dent about the size of my fist in the wheel. Banged it out the best I could but it still leaks a little bit.

Oh well, I've wanted some OEM wheels anyways. Hope nothing too serious is wrong with your car.

Iowa's potholes are bad too, don't move here either. The potholes seem to pop up over night around here.Thats why they say there are only two seasons in Iowa: Winter and construction.
