My school's a congregation for DSMs
It really is. I'm not even joking. There are several 2gs in the parking lot as I speak, including my own. There's a red 2ga Eclipse GS, red 2gb Eclipse GS, and a black Spyder I occassionally see from time to time. There's even a 1g Eclipse in the faculty parking lot. But today...today topped it off. Today, in the morning, I parked right next to a white Galant GVR4 with black factory wheels. She sat there in all her glory and I was just in awe at the sight of her. Out of the 3000 that were sent to the US, I had the chance to park right next to one. It was like talking to a war veteran.
So far I'm the only turboed 2g, but the GVR4 is a match for me.
My school's also a congregation for Mitsubishis. I've seen a white Evo IX, Lancer X, a Mirage, and at least two 3gs.

2G and 3G eclipses technically aren't DSMs. Well actually they're not. I have a 99 GST w/ a 6-bolt motor so I consider mine a DSM since the powerplant is...just an FYI. so your school has 2 DSM's in the parking lot, 1 GVR4 and the 1g in the faculty area

DSM's are anything built by the company Diamond Star Motors which was a joint company formed by Mitsu/Chrysler, hence Diamond Star. 2G Eclipses/Talons are DSM's. And if you don't think so just search, or look at a 2G, and the stickers all over them that say Diamond Star Motors. Evo's, VR4's, 3G's, or anything else built just by mitsu is not a DSM.

I never said they are DSMs. If you look closely you can see I put down "My school's also a congregation for Mitsubishis." Thanks.

Sounds like my school before I graduated. There were four (IIRC) 1ga AWDs including mine, a couple 1g non turbos, and two GVR4s.

Ha ha to keep on point. I know how you feel crimson. When I got my car in 2005 it was the only DSM at my school. I drove by the other day and saw two 1g's three 2g's and to include all two 3k VR4s, four 3g's and three Evos. I like to think I kinda started the Mitsu/DSM revolution with my cars dashing good looks and dizzying speed. Ha ha ha.

At the college I go to, there is my 1G AWD, my friends crazy 1G AWD and a 2G AWD. There are some random 2G non-turbos running around as well, maybe 2.

2 of my friends and I are the only people for miles that have turbo DSM's. One has two 2g's, one has one 2g and a seemingly limitless supply of 1g's (seriously like 10, one of which I bought and am very happy with). There are a couple N/A's around but mostly heavily riced (ESPECIALLY riced are the N/A 2g's, There's a pink one with white vinyl roses and a huge wing, belongs to some Mexican guy.) Both of those friends bought their 2g's riced and are returning them back to good old stock looks. Both are very good cars. I hope more people will get Turbo DSM's around here and instead of putting money into body kits wings neon etc. we'll see them putting their money into bigger injectors, bigger turbos, better brakes/suspension, etc. Or maybe just to get nice stock DSM's
Also I think 2g's are considered DSM's. That's why half this website talks about them. Please let's not bicker about what a DSM is or is not. Everyone have fun DSM'ing! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I was the only semi-dsm car at my high school. At the time I was driving a five speed 94 plymouth duster with mitsubishi's 6g72 3.0 ( same bottom end that came out of the 3000gt's for those who dont know) SO i figured since it was created out of the conglomerate between mitsu/diamler it was semi-dsm.
I guess you could say it was kinda lame but it kept me in long enough to find my Tsi. Plus there wasnt much running around at the time that could beat the duster from a dig. Man that car had some crazy bottom end if I kept the tires hooked. sleeper![]() ![]() ![]() |

dam,wtf if there some kid in high school that has a EVO they most be rich.
best thing at my school would be my friends 305 Firebird, there 2 or 3 mustang GTs. There a 2003-ish Lancer thats owned by this really "big" guy and supposedly teh suspension is blown because of him and his "big" friends. I saw a G35 once. and there about 3 or 4 Eclipses. I dont drive mine there, next year i will tho. |

I saw an ugly 2g out there just now. It was like a puke green or maybe, possibly a slightly greener olive drab. It rocked a coffee can for an exhaust but idk, it looked pretty standard catback or it could have just been an axleback. He had AEM stamped right underneath the driver window.
