What Should I Do With My Gsx

Posted 03-16-2009 at 06:32 PM by costas14

Anyway i had to yank the tranny out a couple weeks ago. So i shoulda pulled it with the engine at the same time but that didnt happen. So instead i tried just getting the tranny out. Well the passneger side axle wouldnt come out which was great. Its still stuck in the tranny wont come out. I ripped it out at the boot but still it was hitting on the frame. So had to yank the engine out. Anyway what...

New Seats, Maintenance Whore, Vacum Rerouting

Posted 02-03-2009 at 08:20 PM by costas14

Anyway last week i had the car stuck on the lift. So i got stuck driving a jeep cherokee laredo which proved pretty good in the snow. Anyway the drivers axle was rebuilt and rebooted from the past owner. And we figured why. It wouldnt come out from the spindle. We tried everything and just called the dealer up for a new spindle and then got a new axle and hub. Dealer included the 2 lower control arms...

It's almost done. My other blowers are at work but these are the ones at home, i just need another weld on the wastegate flange. I also am waiting for my silicone elbows and i will have to make a T so the wastegate pipe connects with the outlet back to the throttle body as i wasnt aware that the wastegate on superchargers doesnt work like turbos. You will have to use your stock intake hose. This one...

Blower 1.8 Serious Update

Posted 11-23-2008 at 07:59 PM by costas14

So the hood has to be chopped up to fit the new GM style blower. Yea bummer for all you guys? Not really i solved that problem too

Hood Scoop will solve it. And i found a junkyard with a ton of 1g to get hoods for all of ya. Anyway the new setup works insane, direct off the crank, no more a/c though. If your a/c still worked your lucky. R-12 is illegal and you can make...

Posted 11-17-2008 at 08:21 PM by costas14

This is it! Almost launch time but with a new blower. Picked it up saturday night locally. She is a GM Eaton M90 3rd Gen. All my other test runs were with early models of the m90 and off fords. And this will not be mounted on the intake manifold. A few stuff have to be blocked and i still need to weld the outlet box but this is it. She will be dropped in friday night or saturday morning. Just need...

Posted 11-13-2008 at 03:47 PM by costas14

While The Gsx Is Off To The Tranny Shop The 1.8 Gets An Eaton Supercharger(Part 2)

Posted 11-07-2008 at 03:11 PM by costas14

Yea, so it did work. The Eaton m90 is a bit too much though, and the supercharger welded on to the intake isnt such a good idea! It works but the air temp is extreme, the first couple runs it was climbing to about 500f, then 800f, it did chirp through all the gears, it wouldnt stop burning out till about 50. OOO and the belt snapped when we tried a dyno run. So im gonna order a new eaton m90 supercharger...

While The Gsx Is Off To The Tranny Shop The 1.8 Gets An Eaton Supercharger

Posted 11-06-2008 at 08:08 PM by costas14

So like the title states! The 1.8 is getting supercharged

Today at work, it was pretty dead, we had no inspections or any oil changes so everyone mostly left. Our tow truck driver was junking some cars so i took an Eaton m90 supercharger off a ford thunderbird. Ive been thinking about this for a long time, and my uncle said it is quite possible but i should use a smaller charger...

Posted 09-26-2008 at 06:47 PM by costas14

Posted 04-14-2008 at 01:01 PM by costas14

well its been a dead day here at the shop so i used the day to work on the 90 gst, i instaleld the new thermostat, waited, and then the fans turned on, which is a huge relief, because when it was overheating when we were driving her back without a thermostat, those fans would not turn on, i also switched the fuses by the battery, the rad fan one with the tail lights, i didnt check if the tail lights...
