Wow What a Crazy Day!I feel ya...almost been arrested several times for merely sitting on my BMX bike, 'cause of a dumbass cop thinking I'm gonna destroy something,my g/f almost always takes the good leftovers to work(the ones that I wanna eat for lunch),and I have a great hatred for minivans that like to pull out in front of me,or cut me off on the interstate...but I don't think I've had them all happen in one day

Wow What a Crazy Day!Yea my wife told me last night that she was making lasagna also! I was stoked! Come home to find out it's all vegetable and there is not a trace of meat or marinara sauce in it whatsoever. As I'm scooping it into the trash can, "Oh yea honey, it tastes great!! I've got to go get some gas in my car I'll be right back!!" Needless to say I picked up a burger on the way home! Then she forced me to take some to work with me today for lunch since I said it tasted great! DOH!

I hate these transmissionsThat's why I learned how to do all my work myself. That way I can't blame vendors for anything other than their parts!

I hate these transmissionsThey should be replacing that shit... especially since its been so little time and you're not pushing anything more than stock.
Shoddy work is unacceptable and dont let them get away with that shit. |

I hate these transmissionsI Don't want to bash a vender or anything. No it was not a local shop or anything. I can't even blame them because the transmissions are junk.
Every gear will need to be replaced. I had 3 replaced last november during the first build. The intermediate shaft has a gear on the end of it that meets with the center diff housing. Some how one of the gears went, taking them both out. The intermediate shaft has your 1-5 gears either on it or drives them because it is parrellel to the shaft they sit on, giving it support. When thse gears break, the shaft becomes a floppy #### in the trans and is no longer parrallel and pretty much ruins every gear. idk I am going to get a call from the shop today and we are gonna go over it. |

I hate these transmissionsWell I bought the car with no 2nd synchro, and had to shift it like a dog box or double clutch. But I am just irritated I spent 2k on a trans and in less than a year its gonna need a minimum 1100 to be right. I am a college kid on a ramen noodle diet. idk I am just so far in the hole idk

I hate these transmissionsThat really sucks man. My 2nd gear synchro started acting up a week after I bought my car. I was pretty pissed off.

you know it's time to get a new car when....I had a valve protruding from piston 3 on the spyder before I abandoned it to fly back to school. So I put that project off for probably the next 9 months while I'm in school. Luckily the 1g GSX I've got out here only needs a new windhield, battery, shocks and springs.... **correction** HOPEFULLY that's all it needs.

you know it's time to get a new car when....I really hear you on this one. I went thru THREE wrong cv joints for my car! and im on the fourth one here and im having my doubts about it since i still have to put my motor back together to finally figure out if the cv joint (driver side) is even a good one. I even get shit from discount auto since i buy the "wrong" ngk spark plugs and yet i argue with them time and time again that they dont have the option in their computers about the stock ngk spark plugs. Stupid auto parts stores. Seems like we know more about our cars then they think they do.

you know it's time to get a new car when....thank you for sharing all of your horror stories... but you've managed to tell me about all the broken things in your cars.
it's not time for a new car because things keep breaking (hell, she runs pretty good for me!) but instead because routine parts are becoming harder and harder to find, and being my daily driver, it's becoming more and more unacceptable. i feel your guys' pain, and i wish i could throw a 30r and some Mickey T's on it, but it's fine the way it is... |

you know it's time to get a new car when....my eclipse is burning oil like crazy, i went into crazy front end work a couple months ago and now it needs new front shocks and spring, new tires all around, brakes in the rear, timing belt and waterpump which need to be changed soon, and a new cylinder head and new camshaft, oo and a clutch its been 170k miles, also these cars are famous for alternators and starters

trade it in or keep itdude. you gotta hang in there. If it is you only car i can understand the frustration of needing a Daily driver. but you gotta love the GSX. i say keep it.

Jaw Wideband Enclosuremight want to put something under the board to keep it from melting the plastic, just incase it gets toasty on the bottom too.

Jaw Wideband EnclosureLol yea you are right crimson, and red yes the fan is suppose to pull air out of the case because the heat sink can get pretty hot so I'm hoping it will help get some air flow in there.
