First of all thanks for checkin out my dsm journal and i hope you enjoy.

I was in search for a better performance oriented platform. I was looking at s2ks and wrxs for my new dd. In my spare time i frequented this forum to read random tech articles and was bit by the bug again. I wanted another dsm but take this one in a different directon than my previous. In November 2010 i found a 1997 eclipse gst. Took a 3 hour drive picked her up and brought her home.
With my previous car i had done some research on turboing the 420a so i had some knowledge on what it took to make my car go faster. I started using the aquired knowledge i had gained from this forum to plan out my build. I want a reliable dd, 300whp, and very clean looking dsm. I know that i might get some bad feedback on the aesthetic stuff i bought for the car since the money could had been put towards performance parts but i like my cars to look good. So now its time to gather parts.
clutch finally installed

hows it goin guys. finally had the clutch put in. a local dsmer helped me out on this was a real great guy. nice to meet other people out there that love these cars. i also had him put on some aluminum shift linkage bushings. as far as the clutch goes it is a HUGE difference. the previous pressure plate had cracks and lots of hot spots. the clutch disk was just gone. i had a act 2100 put on and its much stiffer and the pedal has less play now. as for the shifter bushings they made a very noticable difference in the feel of the shifter. the slop it had before is deffinently gone and the shifts feel better. this 500 mile break in period cant go fast enough. have more pics in the next update
