Blog Title: 1997 GST DD looking for 300whp
First of all thanks for checkin out my dsm journal and i hope you enjoy.

I was in search for a better performance oriented platform. I was looking at s2ks and wrxs for my new dd. In my spare time i frequented this forum to read random tech articles and was bit by the bug again. I wanted another dsm but take this one in a different directon than my previous. In November 2010 i found a 1997 eclipse gst. Took a 3 hour drive picked her up and brought her home.
With my previous car i had done some research on turboing the 420a so i had some knowledge on what it took to make my car go faster. I started using the aquired knowledge i had gained from this forum to plan out my build. I want a reliable dd, 300whp, and very clean looking dsm. I know that i might get some bad feedback on the aesthetic stuff i bought for the car since the money could had been put towards performance parts but i like my cars to look good. So now its time to gather parts.
stuffs finally starting to break

Well thot id give an update with the car. The other day i noticed white smoke comin out the exhaust while it was warmin up. So i did a comp test and the results were 202, 190, 190, 195. Seems to be in great condition so ruling out the HG. Ordered a new pcv and if that doesnt work im gonna guess its my turbo is needing a rebuild. Im also thinking it might be the turbo because i was boosting to 10lbs but now it only boosts to a max of 4lbs.
Also while checking the oil the top of my dipstick broke off
and to top it off my clutch feels like its slippin in 3rd so might need a new clutch.

Now you might be wondering why i showed a pic with all those lil paper ads next to the felpro gasket. Well i ordered from Summit for the first time and was very impressed with them. Ive ordered from alot of places and this place has impressed me the most. All I ordered was a valve cover gasket and they sent me all that stuff in a great lookin box, packed extremely well, and the shipping was very fast. Just thot id share.
As for future plans I have decided against buying cams and using the money for a BOV that will actually hold boost and a clutch. These are the last 2 pieces to the puzzle.
I also had a question for anyone that views through these posts. I know alot of people come through forums like tuners looking for similar goals to set there car up around. Also they ask for prices and how much costs would be for building there own projects. Would you guys want a page with parts and prices? Just a thot
