so lately I've been finally working on my dsm, been working so much it wasn't even funny but time to my self and finally got the block out, of the shell and finished piecing together my replacement motor, motors complete and ready to be put in besides the cas which is the only part I messed up when pulling the motor, it's hell trying to pull a block with out a engine hoist, some how as soon as I lowered the jack out and hit it a few times it dropped out the bottom and I jacked the car up. and presto the block slide under the car came out and I was done. maybe I can do it the same way and get the new motor in I doubt so I guess I'll stop being cheap and invest in an engine hoist, boosted dsm here I come.

harbor freight has decent engine hoists...you dont need a snap-on hoist...remember your job is gonna be 100xs easier when you have proper tools..
good luck. |
