THermostat woes.

So the last few days I have been dealing with a coolant leak that just wont go. First I thought it was a bolt that wouldn't tighten down, so I tapped it out to one size bigger gasketed it up and put it on. Still leaked but was leaking from the bottom of the thermostat housing. So I tried to do it the lazy way and just slather gasket stuff all around the outside of the thermostat housing. This time it held coolant but was spraying out the side and there was a leak coming out the top and from a bolt that was screwed in. So I was like screw it. I took the housing all the way off noticed that it looked like someone had to try to repair it at one point and time I didn't pay it any attention, scrapped it clean with a razor blade put more sealant on it put it back on let it sit for 24 hours and it still friggen leaked. So i was like wtf I took it all the way off once more, and it broke. Needless to say I got one from another dsmer and everything is ok now lol. Gotta love the dsm brotherhood.
