So after the tragic loss of my 91 eclipse gsx i have been jonsing for boost. everday for the past like 6 months i've searched craigslist to try and find a dsm to my liking. Well i believe my search is over. I have quite high standards with no money so it has proven to be difficult for me to find on but i found a fwd talon for 300. It has a blown turbo and the guy was trying to part it out but i talked him into selling it to me. now the one thing i hate most about it is that its an automatic but i have done the automatic to manual swap on an awd this fwd should be easy. so my plans once i get a job and swap the tranny are(in no order):
20g turbo
punishment racing fmic kit
greddy bov
3 inch gm maf
750cc or more
255 pump
afpr kit
3-3.5" exhaust
act 2600 with 6 puck
light flywheel
17x9 and 17x8 inch wheels
water meth injection
nos fmic spray
intake pipe
272 cams
all the gauges
key driver chip
then if money left over full rebuild with 2g pistons
frankenstein head

let me know what you guys think and what i should add. I'll have pics of the car when i get it

Nice list. But in my opinion if you are contemplating rebuilding/strengthening the engine I would do that first. You don't want to increase pressure to an engine that will not hold the added boost.

Years ago I took the head off to do a valve job. To this day I regret not doing the piston rings while the head was off. Now when ever I see a puff of blue smoke from my car all I can think about is the rings.
