How do you do it? what gear and such.. i'm wondering if my tranny is on it last leg every run i try my tranny slips bad.. i was doing it in 2nd gear. it holds at 20mph then when i floor it engine speed goes up ust a tad but i can take the revs to redline

Well, since your supposded to do dynos in 3rd. I would think to put it in drive with od off. Wait for it to shift into 3rd then start the dyno from there.

theres a setting on the computer for automatics on the dyno. it uses a different calculation. you basically leave the od off and just put it into drive then do a full pull from about 30mph all the way to redline after all the shifts.

When I dyno an auto I do it in 2nd gear and punch it at around 35 mph. The gearing is different than a 5speed. It takes too long and creates too much heat in 3rd.
