Well i finally took my car out for a run with the 14b and i ran 10.2 at around 62 or 63mph.
Then I take it out with the 16g, I power brake it but dosent really do anything, and i ran a a 10.5 at 71mph. I know that my torque converter is probably shot because it used to pull way harder before when i first got it. Now I'm looking into buying a stall converter that streetable since this is my daily driver. Ive heard people going more for the IPT. any suggestions?

Those must be 1/8th mile times. You need another converter or something, because when i had those similar mods with the 14b on, i was running low 8's in the 1/8th. What is your 60' time? I know a guy 45 min from me that does converters that is alot cheaper than IPT to get one restalled. www.ccmconverters.com He does a great job. Tell him Brian sent you. He did one for my 2g tranny that i had in my car. He has another one of mine for my 1g tranny now. Less than $200 to get the same thing done as IPT. DSM's aren't listed on his site, but he does them.
 
dam, lows 8s i wish i was inthe 9s. yeah pretty much killed my torque converter before i did any mods to the car. after 3months of non stop racing i pretty much fried it. launches like it has no boost. i will give that guy a call. cant beat 200 buks for a race converter, well rebuilt
 
If anyone is selling 'Race' converters for $200, I would have to wonder what they are leaving out.

I know first hand that just the parts that we need to put into our race and street performance converters far exceeds that figure.

wow 10.2 and 10.5 on 14b.. i was running 9.6 stock on the t25 when i first got my 2g gsx. IPT is the place to go to. i've gotten a few things from them and its worth the price!

yeah i found a boost leak coming from the injector seals yesterday while i was doing my 14b install w/ a buddy. :thumb: looking at hitting the 1/8 track sometime this week, unless i balls up and spend the extra cash to drive to the 1/4 track LOL. but 8.8 isnt too bad bro. nice job. alot better than 10s LOL. hope to see where im at soon enough.
 
ive noticed that a lot of people go faster with the same mods and I think its due to the fact that i pretty much beat the hell out of the torque converter for so long before I did any mods to it. Im hoping to change it out by the end of the summer, it’s just that money has been tight lately.
