My car is a 95 eagle talon tsi..umm it has been sitting for a while in my drive way over the winter and just recently i repainted the front bumper and i took out the resonator black box thing that is on the lower intercooler pipe on some years of the car. I took off and cleaned the intercooler. Yesterday i took it for a ride to get the oil changed the first time its been driven in months and it started fine but there was a problem. The car is automatic ( i know automatic = anti christ) well ne way it usually shifts out of first gear and into second around 2500 - 3000 rpm depending on if you stomp the shit or if you are diving calm. Well the car revs to about 3000 rpm doesn't shift and the trubo surges like crazy, you know that little turbo gauge with the plus and minus well it was past the little plus sign. So then i let off and it shifted but if i try to accelerate fast the trubo just spools and the car doesnt go any faster. It almost feels like its been disconnected from the drive shaft or some shit, because the car just doesnt go the turbo just spools. I was thinking that since i also changed all the crash sensors and put in an new srs computer that the ecu might have to be reset. It seems to me that the waste gate might not be workling properly. So there is my problem .. ne ideas on what to do woulg be good. And also i checked all my pipes going to and from the intercooler and they are all tightly on, i thought that the recirculation pipe going from my bov back into my intake might have been loose. And it was but i drove it again and that didnt help the problem. I am pretty sure the computer just needs to be reset.. Oh and sorry for any grammar and spelling mistakes i suck at english and life...o well..peace

I don't think the ECU would cause an issue like that... I doubt it needs to be reset. It really does sound like you have a major leak, that's exactly what happened to me when my BOV wasn't tight on the flange. That crappy stock boost gauge "guesstimates" by reading the MAS. Double check your entire intake system, check your BOV, etc. I'm not too familiar w/ the resonator on the IC, but, usually if I do something and something else breaks, I put it back and try again. Isolate the problem. :thumb:
