I have a 97 gsx with an auto and I have been running into some problems. My car runs fine until I am crusing like around 60 mph. I noticed that when I have the gas pedal steady and the car is between 2k to 3k rpms, the rpm meter will shoot down and right back up again. And every time it goes down, my car shakes a little bit. This only occurs when I am in between 2-3k rpm range with the gas pedal steady. Im not to sure what is causing this. My only guess would be that it is the tranny. If anyone can give me some advice it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Could be your torque converter. I know I have a similiar problem in my car right now around 2K rpm's, but the rpm's do not go down when this happens.

Typically, if you end clutch is going you will have the rpm's go up, but you don't go any faster. Pretty much like a manual when the clutch is going as well.
