PalmOS on your Laptop --No more needing batteries

Well for a lot of you you might buy the super cool charging plug for your palm, and keep it in your car all the time. That is super cool, but us m100 users who are completely cheap (yet somehow have access to a laptop, no idea how) here is a howto to run PalmOS on your laptop.

I have only tested this on MMCd using the MIII rom image.

First you need to download the stuffs, stuffs.

Run the Emulator.exe. Click New, change the rom file to the dsmap.rom (latest palmos roms). And change the device to the MIII.

Drag and drop the mmcd.prc onto the emulator screen and it will install MMCd.

Use your regular datalogger cable with the serial end, and plug it into your diagnostic port like normal, then plug in the serial portion into your laptop.

Now to setup the emulator for your laptops serial port. Right click the emulator, >> settings >> properties. Uncheck "Redirect NetLib calls to host TCP/IP" and change the serial port to the port# you plugged in your car to on the laptop.

Lastly un MMCd like it was on your palm.
