cant you get in trouble (w/ cops) for displayin 2 different license plates?
From far, a cop will think that that is a vanity plate, then on your rear you'll have the actual plate so that might get some attention.

They can't do anything if your state only requires you to have a rear plate.
Just like they have the ones that look like real plates but say "Jesus" and stuff like that.

Its close enough for me, and odds are I wouldn't find the lettering and my model year on a "real" existing plate. Ball buster
Defiant: The motor may not be all American. I'm not sure though.

For use instead of the NC plate on track days, and the rest of the time, it will find a home on my front bumper, once I get the balls up to drill in the front. I'll probably get around to mounting it when the bumper cover is off for the FMIC install. (sorry for the poor quality, I had to scan it, as the digi-cam ate my batteries again )

u dont have to drill it,there was a special mounting bracket that hooks up so u dont have to drill holes in your front bumper

Not anything on a real plate mean the make and model of the car.
Here is a site of what the Symbols mean. It only means basically what perfectural you live in or what area. Also the number of cc's your car is
Reading Japanese Plates made easy for Lando
Below is a pic of mine back in the day. Plates in Japan, stay with the car for the LIFE of the car. Owners don't own the tag like they do here. So as you can see in my pic below, One you can tell it was NOT from my car over there since it does NOT have a "Y" or yankee plate which is placed in the prefix area. But you can see that mine was from an eh hem... rental car :o . Also Japanese plates will NOT mount up to US style plate holders.
I know you probably didn't care to read this, but a little info for you guys
.

She told me what region the symbols meant, but I am an ass and forgot.
Thanks for the link dedicated to me, picklesniffer.
Edit: by actually CLICKING on the link and browsing through, it appears to be Nagano.
