Oh now they want you to send back the piece, and they will round off the edges for free. How long will it be before you see it again, another 6 months? And what will they do about it not being level? The car is on a slant my foot.
I'm all annoyed and I didn't even buy the darn thing.
Well you know what. We should be grateful that a company listens to our needs to even make a new product for our cars. You have to realize our cars are old and the market for dsms aren't great like the 90's. Its understandable that the first batch of produces won't be perfect. And at least they are standing behind there product to make it better. Let them make up for their mistakes.

I'm sorry, but I have to chime in here. What more can you ask than what 386 is now offering? They said, they will make it right, no matter what. You can't expect them to offer money back because some don't like how it looks. Even with the quality issue, it is undoubtibly designed the way they said it would be. We all knew we were getting in this regard. It is simply the execution that needs some work.

I am very impressed that 386 is working with all of us. No need to bash them when they're still working with their customers.

Well, like everyone else I wanted one. However, the only thing that prevented me from buying one, like I already stated I was broke. But that didn't curb my enthusiasm for this new product, that has been long in coming. I think the people who were able to get in on the group buy, were more than patient with the lack of communication, and the some odd months it took. You would think that after the long wait, the product would have been better. IMO 5 months is plenty of time for trial and error. From the photos, this product looked last minute. Uneven cuts, bumps, waves, rough edges, and paper thin. Wow, that is a lot wrong with something that took so long to develop. Okay let's just use the argument the first 5 will have defects. Okay those 5 should have never been shipped. But they were. This speaks volumes for the ethics of this company. 386 customs may be an excellent company but acting in this unprofessional manor should raise more than a few eyebrows. Free rolled edges isn't enough. How about replacing the product with one free of defects, including free rolled edges and a $20 dollar discount on any up coming purchases with the company. That to me this is a start. Your still left feeling had, but not so much.
I speak mostly from disappointment, due to the fact I wanted one. My point isn't made less valid do to the fact I didn't purchase one.

I see what you mean. You make a good point. I was assuming that you just stumbled upon the thread and jumped in, I didn't realize you wanted one aswell. yeah I'm #11 on the list and curious to see mine, it has been a very very long time, and now I feel its going to take long to fix the imperfections. I have a feeling its going to take another 2 months to get mine.

When I saw those first pictures I was pretty upset because I was looking forward to getting one of these someday. But hopefully when you get it back it will be a lot better.

Does anyone else have this lip yet with some pictures?

Nice car by the way Gofer

I dont understand??? Shouldn't they have test fit it MULTIPLE times on one of 'their' cars before they sent those out. Wouldn't you want it 100% before your customers receive it? Doesn't make to much sense to me. Honestly, it looks like crap. Hopefully you'll get it back in better shape.

1st rule in marketing...do not set expectations you cant meet.

2nd rule in marketing...if bad news must be given...give it early...not late

Cut 386 customs some slack. They said they would fix them and they would. They are receiving feedback about a product they made and are going to fix them and more than likely improve them. As far as them being thin, do you really want something on your rear bumper sticking out like the sideskirts on our cars? The lips are thin for a reason.

No, but they are so thin you can see through them. How much more slack can we give? It was estimated to be done in 4-8 weeks tops, this would of been perfect for it was 2 months before MOD when first payments were made, guess what its been 7 months already. No offense to anyone but it seems that frustration and dissapointment has slowly been building lately. If I left that $180 ib the bank I could of double it with interest.

Unless you are Bernie Madoff, there is no way you can double your money in a bank in 7 months. You would need to find a bank that pays roughly 231% APY. If that was the case I wouldn't need a job anymore.

Do you want them thicker so it'll stick out like the side skirts? How thick do you want it? Cause it seems like no matter what from what everyone is saying that there is gonna be disappointment.

With a new product there area always bound to be bumps in the road. Expectations was set and some did not measure up to them. Get over it, that's life. They are doing what they can do fix it so people are happy. Regardless of what everyone thinks about it, I think its a good product. Body kits are produced out of molds and are not perfect.

I was exagerating the point. A monkey would of got that joke.

Ok you have obviously not seen the finished product upclose yet, when you say stick out like a side skirt, our side skirts stick out like an inch and a half, the finished product that I have seen upclose, is as thick as a credit card! Thats a big difference than your side skirt comparison. I'm just saying it would be nice to have it thick enough to where you don't see the color of your bumper behind it, when the actuall product is installed. If you like that then thats great, but there's a reason why 80% of the buyers are dissapointed. They expected to see the product that was introduced to them in the first place.

that would be the way to go, it really looks good! Somewhere in these forums was a guy with a riced out 2g but it had a defuser on the back that looked sick, that would be another route as far as small(er) accents to really bring out the beauty in these cars.
