Actually a pretty high price for a Compustar. I do the Viper 790 responders all day long for $499 installed.

do you know of any good sites where i can find information about that viper system?? is that wut is on your car? how do u like it and wut kinda features does it have? thanx

actually, the compustar 2WSS is one of the best alarms out. It uses military spread spectrum technology, thats why it allows the signal to travel over a mile. Also if your inside buildings, basements, etc, it will STILL work. Plus its a two way alarm, that price i think is a little high because im in canada and i can pick one up for $750 installed which is about $400 american.

I'm not sure if the viper system is a two-way, but I don't see the point in having an alarm if you'll never know the alarm is going off. The compustar alarms tells you every details, which door is open, if your lights are on, your car is started, you can use it has a pager.. just say your friends are at your car they can tap the glass 3 times and this little phone will pop up on ur pager notifying you that someone is waiting for you at ur car. Anyhow, Compustar doesn't need to advertise their product because society and the awards they receive for their products speak for themselves.

Actually yes the Viper is two-way and FCC legal. The ONLY one on the market that is "legal". Also backed by a lifetime warranty at ANY dealer in the world.

BTW I have removed many Compustars and replaced with DEI units. Not flaming, just info...

I just had a Clifford Concept 600 installed. I was told the new Viper couldn't do the turbo timer feature that the Concept 600 can and that you can't put the remote start on a 5-speed with the Viper.

Just a couple thoughts you might want to look into about the alarms.

BTW... the new Cliffords are basically the Viper alarm since DEI bought out Clifford so the new Cliffords do not have all the functionality of the old Concept 600.
