Functional Rear Diffuser
Functional Front Splitter that goes to cover under engine for better aero.
Widebody Front Fenders like the Evo guys get. (2g)
Carbon Fiber sunroof replacement that has one or two latches so it can be easily taken out.
Adjustable Sway Bar Endlinks
Bolt on ducting for front bumper to radiator (and people could buy and customize it themselves from there depending on particular setups)
Also the motor mount engine dampers
Bolt on 5mph bumper support for those running large fmics.
All of the above

I know of a company that produces the control arms and k members. I just bought another set from him for my car and have had 2 sets from him a while ago. He does not advertise and refuses to, I don't get it. I guess he tried on talk or on here but got hammered on pretty bad so he is fed up. I guess pm me or something, I can try to get you in touch with him if that is permitted. I weighed these things and the whole set knocks 15-16 lbs of the car. It is the same dude that is doing them for that Mavis guy so 11scdsm can probably help out too. )(Jason is his name) I don't think I can post pics but they are awesome. I must warn you to ask for them not painted because they look bad painted, good fabricator, bad painter. He has a post on the gvr4 forum for quite some time about them and finally started shipping out after like 2 years.
Anyway, I would like to see some sort of bolt on exhaust for a gvr4 that is 3.5'' for the big turbo stuff. I bought a used certified system but its beat pretty bad.
1. All the little trim pieces around the windows that look like hell on our cars.

+4! It's a shame that we can't find these anywhere for our car, and they make our cars look so much better.
Also, I would like to see some blacked out taillights or at least black taillight covers.

This is a great thread and all, but is anyone actually going to make some of these parts.
Again I say manual steering rack for 2g.
Fog light covers for those that run ssac fmic.
i would love to see an OEM GSX carbon fiber spoiler( the big supra-like wing) all the carbon wings have that ###-ass fast and the furious metal shit. i just want a wing exactly like the GSX has but carbon fiber and made by a good company like seibon or carbon creations....... by the way, i hate VIS there hoods suck.
to the guy who was looking for the carbon fiber rear hatch-- carbon creations makes one, but it is rediculously expensive
also, i would love to see a carbon fiber roof for the 2g talons, since they are already 2-toned it would be tight if you could have the hood, roof , hatch and wing all CF

HiRevPerformance (yes; a good company ) is actually working on an exact replica of the OEM high wing in carbon fiber. You can check it out (and maybe join the group-buy) here: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/vend...group-buy.html
They also make carbon fiber hatches by the way.

Replacing the roof with a carbon fiber substitute on a uni-body will require some serious custom work and will probably cost you more than you would want and be willing to spend. A cover would be an easier (altough most likely less atractive) solution.
This is a great thread and all, but is anyone actually going to make some of these parts.
Appearantly some parts that us DSM'ers are waiting for are being developed as we speak.
From the list of items (for 2G, but I quess 1G owners wouldn't mind seeing similar items being made for their model either ) I would like to see made for example:
Functional Front Splitter JNZ Tuning is appearantly developing some lightweight aero parts. Can't wait to see what they'll be releasing for sale!
Functional Rear Diffusor Again; JNZ Tuning is appearantly developing some lightweight aero parts. Can't wait to see what they'll be releasing for sale!
Billet Engine Mounts VIP Garage appearantly has these in the making. Hopefully these will be lighter than the original ones (so it actually falls under performance parts for which this thread is actually meant ). Bring them on VIP Garage!
And I'd like these items to be made aswell, but these (unfortunatly) are still waiting for a vendor to actually start developing these:
Brake Cooler Kit Some bolt on hard ABS plastic cooling parts would be nice.
Radiator Cooling Plate I can't believe no vendor is actually making these. Seems like a simple part to create. And since it shouldn't be to expensive to develop and make these, there should be quite a big market for them.
Six Speed Gearbox Possibly the best idea named here, but I'm afraid that we won't see these made due to the extensive research and costs involved in developing and making these and (since most DSM'ers are broke) the small amount of people who would actually purchase them. Still hoping a company like ShepTrans will make these anyway! (As has been said before: They made a dogbox, which probably nobody was expecting to be made, so why not a six speed? )
And last I would really like to see made (because it will save me the trouble of making it myself ):
Forced Air Ram in the 2Gb Intercooler Vent Location Yes, exactly as wret made in the following thread: DIY Ram Air Duct for Cold Air Intake
If possible made of a strong material like ABS plastic (though a carbon fiber one would be very nice too! )
So the economic-rule of 'demand and you will be supplied' seems to be in affect. So in response to Gamble97: If we keep on demanding these parts, there is a good chance a vendor will actually start supplying them!
i've been looking for one of these CF headlight replacements forever for 2gb's. (for the passenger side of course)
i'm almost positive that these would sell like hotcakes.
+1 for that butterfly support like the miatas have underneath. That's a great idea, and yet another way to stiffen up the chassis. I'm sure it would be of great use to autox competitors as well.
+1 for engine dampeners
+1 for JNZ aero parts..........where are those pics!!!!! Even the Evo pics would be great
I was also thinking along the lines of electronics. Why does a turbo timer need to run the ENTIRE car for a specified amount of time? Isn't the point to cycle oil through the turbo in order to cool it properly? Maybe this has been covered, but are there any sort of relys on the market that could just run the oil pump for a specific amount of time after turning off the ignition?

Thats what I mentioned earlier. I'm actually in the process of trying to make my own right now lol.

damn i thought i was a genius for thinking of using the stock intercooler hole for cold air
I don't think I saw this anywhere in this thread, but I know a lot of people looking to put an evo VIII, or IX steering wheel in their 1g/2g. I've seen a writeup on how to weld stuff together to get it to work. It'd be nice if we could have a simple adapter or something so we don't have to fab up a custom steering wheel. I'm sure a lot of people would also like to be assured that they can connect the airbag in the evo steering wheel and know it will work.
Also brackets so we can put evo seats in.
We are working on a lot of the carbon fiber parts and some suspension products. Unfortuantely, this is all time consuming and once we have new products on hand we will be posting them up. We had a pretty large thread going on with the carbon fiber parts to be produced and right now we are in the process of finishing couple surprises for you guys. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't say what it is.
