I would love to see a bolt on throttle body that accepts a 3 inch pipe, that works with factory TPS, and throttle cable. Im sure this would only be possible with SMIM's, but its not like there is not a but load of people running SMIM's with mustang or simular TB's.

Here dude,
.: Strictly Modified :.
It's "made" for the evo but it willl fit nicely on a dsm. Just need to buy the isc adapter for an extra $40

Hey thanks, thats alot more like what i was looking for. But i still feel, that with as many people that modify these cars, simple bolt on parts like these should be avalible in vehicle specific form. On that note i never understood why a MAF was never made VEHICLE SPECIFIC.

Not to get off topic, but it is specific form. It comes w/ the isc adapter for the evo. For the dsm just get the other adapter. If you ever looked at the evo tb compared to the dsm tb, they are exact opposites, tps is on the opposite side of each other. So is the spring. And it sits on the opposite side of the car too, therefore it works perfectly for both cars.
MAF's are vehicle specific, what are you talking about? It just so happens that with some other devices you can change them out.

That TB is made specificly for an evo but works on a DSM, that makes it hard to find find. Even on there website if you search DSM you will not find it, but again, thanks for pointing that TB out i was about to get a mustang TB. As far as MAF's how could you call them vehicle specific? As far as i know there is no aftermarket DSM MAF.

I would love to see a twin disc clutch setup for 1st Gen FWD, the clutch is obviously out there just waiting on a flywheel that will work.

I would like to see more of a variety of timing covers, maybe chrome with slashes on the top with very fine mesh to protect the timing belt but to also make it look cool. If anybody understands what im trying to say.

There's no need. The GM MAF works with the translator and the Evo or 3G MAF can also work with just a little wiring. Both will read substantial airflow and are fairly unrestrictive, at least compared to the stock MAF.

If you surpass those, it's time to consider running a standalone with speed density tuning capabilities.

Ecmlink just released speed density. Evo/3g maf flows about 30% more than a 2g maf. It's not easy to outflow those, (currently I'm outflowing my 2g maf and would be close to a evo maf) but like he said gm maf will support anything you throw at it. I don't think anyone has reached the limits of it yet.

Yea but with slashes in the top with possibly a mesh screen so you can still see the belt....

I have to agree with this completely! The only heatshield that is currently out is the JM Fab heatshield, which while looking very good is the biggest PITA to install! How about making the bracket bolt together, and then have the heatshield bolt onto the bracket with a seperate mount.

I was wondering why I didn't see anything on their site. Any reason why they did? Some of the ones they had were really nice.

How about bottom Varis carbon fiber molding covers like they have for the evo's. that little carbon fiber piece on the bottom back of the evo bottom molding. I'm NOT talking about the carbon fiber diffusers!

I would like to see a company out there make a replacement door panel such as these. A thin sheet metal or aluminum that's a simple bolt on or pop on.

These are pics from a dsmtuners member on here and his 1G.

As far as cam covers go, check this one out...mine looks great!

Zaklee Corp - Performance Parts for Performance Cars

things that I would like to see in the near future for 2g's:

15 x 8 Rota Slipstreams (or any other brand wheel) in a +35 to +40 offset, 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern, 67.1 bore size (or larger borecentric) that someone on planet earth actually has. Rota lists it as a wheel that they make, but impossible to find and / or order 2 (instead of 24 for min order in Phillipines).

OEM style front bumper with built-in support for no crash beam, but minus plastic mini-blind cover that blocks the top portion of a good fmic.

aftermarket projectors that actually fit an HID kit (& ram air would be nice - now I'm dreaming)

cheap insert (pref cf) for rear bumper around tail pipe - tired of cleaning black crud off all of the time.

cf front wiper cowl

switch / led panel (located under aftermarket radio - covering pocket). It would be nice to have a place to put led's and / or switches like: meth level warning, alarm valet, angel eyes (halos), nitrous, etc.

interior light bulb kit - so you can change the color of all the interior lights (including dash) with just one kit (instead of wasting days trying to find every bulb individually).

a bracket for the brake fluid reservoir that does not corrode.

cf fuse cover (under the hood) with clear & white sticker for fuse locations

Iphone interface for dsm link v3

set of matching rear seat for aftermarket front seats

SS or aluminum door sills

some kind of wedge for the 3rd brake light to keep it from ratteling every time you hit a bump or turn up the volume on your stereo.

That's why you get creative and mod the heat shield. I modded my brackets to stay on the exhaust housing and the heat shield bolts to it. Simple!

Evo X divided manifold with DSM head flange.

Evo X O2 Housing to DSM downpipe or V-Band.

Basically, a turnkey solution to mounting the very nice twin scroll EVO X 16G turbo in our cars.

I would pay for this. Essentially, it would be a very nice upgrade to the even ported 2G manifold and ported 2G or EVO O2 housing, and would allow you to run a very nasty, quick spooling turbo with proper internally gated boost control.
