I recommend Kenwood Excelon. I've used Kenwood products since i've had my first car and never had any problems with them. Plus there radio's look the best. Heres a pic of the one i just recently ordered.

IMO, Go with a Kenwood Excelon, Pioneer, Clarion, or Alpine. I emphasize the Alpine, I have never heard but good things about them. The main thing to look for is a HU with the highest s/n ratio and the most features that are going to let you customize the music to your listening preferences (ie, crossovers, equalizers, processors, etc.). Goodluck!

the only problume i have come across is finding one that fits. im going with the sony exploid. the kenwood is real nice though.

Xplod=:barf:

I'm not going to intentionally bash anyone with Sony car audio products, but honestly, they are low-end. Compare the s/n ratio, FM sensitivity, and preamp output on a Sony HU with any of the above mentioned brands and it should become apparent.

As far as fitment, if you go to www.Crutchfield.com and enter your vehicle info., they will sort out exactly what will fit and what won't. I do know most all Pioneer's will fit though, and will easily blow away any Sony HU as far as sound quality.:thumb:

Just tryin to help some fellow DSMers on best bang for the buck...

well, i've decided to go with either an alpine or kenwood...pioneers are very little and have tiny buttons...and yea, i've heard that sony isnt all that great

my stock stereo is infinity but i'm not sure about the speakers...they sound pretty good though:thumb:
