Well I have a 92 Talon and was looking into ricing my car (dont really need anyones opinion on that) I was looking at the eclipse body kits and I know there is a difference with the rear tails but is there a difference with the front end of the 1G eclipse and the 92-94 talon or will the body kit bolt right up?

now for another question I am thinks of doing a rear tailight conversion to clipse do the eclipse tails bolt up with an eclipse rear bumper? TIA! :thumb: :talon: :dsm:

*from what I know, but i may be wrong *
any body panel of a talon or eclipse will fit on the assosciated years... i.e., a 1gb talon front will fit on a 1gb eclipse, etc etc.

sorry, but wrong, the rear on 1ga's are all the same, on 1gbs's the eclipses are same as b4, but the talons, and mayb the lasers have a dip in the center, where the liscense plate goes, and 1ga's and 1gb's have a lil bit different front, on 1ga's, they little plastic piece between the lights comes out, but on 1gb's, its attached to the bumper im pretty sure that how it goes

I think he was saying 1Gb talons/eclipses were the same as eachother and as well 1Ga eclipse/talons were the smae as each other. right?

a 1ga will fit any of the other 1ga, and the 1gb will fit any of the 1gb, they are all so much the same car that there really is no difference in bolt ups, atleast that i found yet...

wow....the false info floods in

90-91 talon eclipse and laser's fronts and backs, although look diffrent in their own little ways, will bolt up to any model/make of the same 2 years.
Example - 91 talon front on 90 laser...and so on

92-94 talon eclipse and laser's fronts are the same (look different as they have different bumpers, but all bolt up .
Example - 92 talon bumper on a 94 eclipse....and so on

92-94 Talons have diffrent tails. their tail lights dip in the center and have the licence plate and backup lights mounted between the tails. This bumper will NOT fit on a 92-94 eclipse or laser...unless you swap the lights as well.

So to answer the original question about the body kit. To make the 92-94 eclipse kit fit the 92-94 talons, you will either have to modify the rear bumper to fit your talon tails, or you will have to switch to eclipse tails, which will bolt in pretty well, you may have to drill a hole or two. get yourself a set of 92-94 eclipse tails and center peice, bolt them on, bolt the kit on, and also you will want to buy yourself a set of eclipse/ laser backup lights since they will need to be mounted on there somewhere and most kits dont come with them. the front bumper will bolt on as it would on an eclipse.

If you have any other questions about the kit, ask here and i will be glad to help, or pm with any questions :thumb:

hey highPSI while I am not looking for the same body kit you have I am wondering where you got it and how well it fit? TIA and thanks for the very clear explanation. :thumb: :talon:

if you mean the kit on my gst in my gallery, i no longer have that car, but still have the kit. My drift kit got destroyed in an accident so i switched to a dragun z

i usually order my kits from andy's...the prices are alittle more then some other places, but since my first kit with them went through well, i dealed with them again.

as for the dragun z kit - front bumper fit real well with no modifications AT ALL
side skirts also fit with no problems except the one was short by maybe a 1/8 inch.
the rear bumper stuck front alittle too far (towards the back tires) and left a little ledge that needed to be trimmed off. under the lights it didnt fit quite as tight against as i would have liked, but good over all.

the drift kit, the front was off by a little. we made extra brackets for the bottom lip to hold it better so that it would fit better.
the side skirts...well they didnt fit. they were almost an inch too long. we simply cut them down and refiberglassed the back lip.
the rear fit right on except that the top had to be sanded down alittle because it was too tight against the tail lights.

from my experience with installing other peoples kits, almost every kit has its little flaws or things that dont fit quite how you would hope. also some people have had problems with andy's. i have purchased a total of 4 kits from there (not all for my own cars) and have never had a problem with shipping or anything. so from my experience, andy's was good.
