if you had a 2ga bumper would it work on a 1ga? or are the headlights too different.
I think it would work if you had 2ga headlights and 2ga bumper but i dont know if the fenders match up?
any help with this

You can put any bumper on any car.
No it will not simply bolt on.

I just bought a cheap set off of eBay for $80, so I can turn my car around. I wouldn't recommend them though, I've read here, that their output is not that great. The OEM lights can be had for around $200 for a pair. Junkyards are always a great place to look though. Just my two cents.

Use ebay and find out.
I have seen them from 80 - 200 per set depending on condition. I got mine as a trade to a idiot for my ricer halos..lol. PERFECT condition too.

99 headlamp swap question
Do I need any different mounting hardware if I swap to the 99 headlamps, or can I use the existing 95 headlamp bolts and connectors and stuff? Also, if I buy OEM headlamp, is there anything missing that I should be aware of - stuff like the weather-proof access cover (in the back of the assembly)?
One of my 95 headlamps is foggy, and I'm about to buy the 2gb eclipse bumper, so I'm trying to make sure there are no surprises before buying the 2gb headlamps.

Should be a direct swap. I am running 97-99 headlamps on my 95, it was a direct bolt in swap. I didn't need anything to replaced mine.

Use a heat gun or even a hair dryer to heat up the glue along the edge and carefully pull the lens off the housing.

wow i wish this was up when i bought a 97-99 front bumper for my 95 and was wondering why the lights didnt fit. I did fix the problem with a little trimming but wouldve saved me a lot of cluelessness. I have 95 projector lights and didnt feel like spending the money on some 97's to make it fit right and I hate the way the 95 bumper looks

Very useful information!!!
Glad you took the effort to show the DSM world!
Hopefully people use the SEARCH BUTTON!
I want to do the conversion for the front and keep the back 2GA , until I get the funds for the back!

Very useful guide.
I just ordered my 2Gb headlights so now i know i will have a gap until i get my aftermarket bumber.
Might be worth making a small mesh insert for now just to get the look

Quick question for aftermarket front bumpers like blitz which one fits better & looks better? Also you shouldn't have to trim the bumper for either one?

Nobody has mentioned the "bubble" in the corner of the 2GB headlights.I am not sure if ALL 2GB's have it or not, but all the ones I have seen do. It is purely cosmetic and does not affect fittment alone, but it's a difference in any case. Just thought that might be worth bringing up.

I have a drift bumper for a 95-99 thatappears to use 97-99 headlights. I have a 95 ga, was going to order 97 headlights before reading this. Now I'm curious does anyone else know if they'd work or not or am I just taking a shot in the dark?
