Some people get a water temp gauge since the stock one isn't that accurate.

if i were to choose 3, definately boost, egt, oil pressure. I assume that you will probably go the afc route for fuel management so the blue wire mod will be the ideal choice and more accurate then the blinky Auto"i wonder if im really running lean"Meter AF gauge

I use boost, EGT, and oil pressure (elec.) in the car and a fuel pressure (mech.) under the hood. I recommend this setup.

If you are only getting 2, then Boost and EGT for sure. As for brands, depends on how much you want to spend. I went with autometer which was on the cheap end, greddy is pretty popular too, but more expensive.

Boost and EGT, if you get a third, I would go with Fuel Pressure, especially once you start gettin into higher boost. Just my .02

If you get a fuel pressure gauge for mounting inside the car, it will have to be an electronic gauge, for obvious reasons. So it will be pricey, probably.

Boost and EGT, as far as a fuel pressure guage, just get one that goes under the hood.

for the valve Boost and EGT.

A/F ratio I will agree is not very helpful BUT it can be. I recently started to make a 100 mile trip in my DSM and about 20 miles into the trip I noticed that my A/F was reading really really lean. So I pulled over and checked the car. It ran fine but I noticed Black chunks of carbon coming from the exhuast. I figured out that this can't be good. So I turned around and went home. Its a good thing because on the way home the problem got really bad. My fuel gauge was dropping fast! We'll after thinking about it and having a friend come over and pull a code for me we both agreed it was the O2 sensor.

While this may not happen a lot, it is still nice to know your O2 sensor is working because if that dies your screwed. I'm just glad I did not try to race or boost heaving under those conditions. FP gauges are nice but honestly most the guys here dont have them in the cockpit. Even a lot of the 12s guys dont use them in the car. If you think a A/F gauge is a waste of money then I recommend a pocketlogger. While it only acts passively it does allow you to log a lot of data even in a 2G.
