Does anyone know an easy method to re-install the band clamp for the turbine housing? I seperated the housing from the turbo to access the ex. manifold studs for heli coiling but am having a helluva time puttin that clamp on. Is there a better clamp available? I do not want to have to pull entire turbo out unless absolutely necessary. Also, the clamp is partially on (tight but not entirely around both flanges), causing a slight gap. When I start the car I detect what I believe to be the turbine lightly scrapping although the gap b/w the housing and the turbo is small. Is this likely the noise and would this gap cause an exhaust leak? Should the turbine be completly rusty? Thanks in advance for all replies.

Make sure that the pin is lined up with the center section andthe turbine housing if it is not they will never go together.

You didn't align something right because you should have no problem getting that thing on there with a simple socket wrench.

Thanks for the advice guys. IPT, you were right on the mark. I did not realize that there was a pin on the housing. Thanks
