Hey, I just got a new coil pack because mine went bad. According to the guy it was off a 1g dsm, and I have a 92 gsx. When I got the coil pack mine has 3 pins which connects to the harness or whatever and this one has 4. So obviously it won't fit into mine, but is there any way to re-wire it or something or what? Thanks in advance.

thats because u prolly got one off a 90. the 90's have a square shaped plug, where the 91-94 have a triangle shaped plug. im not sure if u can re-wire it, u might just have to sell it and get one from a 91-94.

I took all the wires off my old one and wired the new one with them, do you think it will work or does that 4th wire on the 90 do something special? I mean it looks like their the same coils and pack and stuff, just the wires on the other one hooked up to some weird box and the one on mine didn't... Let me know if anyone of you have tried this or know that it will or won't work. Thanks.

Here is my guess, if you look at the 91+ harness, you will notice there are 3 wires. Then where they connect one of those wires has a jumper over to the 4th terminal. The 90 could just have 4 individual wires instead of the jumper.
